It is very hard to take a great song, cover it, and make it your own. Lots of good ones to chose from so what is your #1?
I'd have to go with Disturbed's cover of The Sound of Silence. Heard it a million times and it gives me chills every time!

When I saw Dylan about twenty years ago, he closed with a Hendrix-like version of All Along The Watchtower. A sure sign that he thought highly of Hendrix's cover.

Still, lucky we don't all like the same things I guess.
