Tuesday.
After Alec gives Oliver the lump of lava, Oliver asks Alec where he is eating that night, and Alec replies that he's not eating on account of it being Tuesday. When Alec arrives at the house that evening, Oliver has not yet come home, so Alec and Jenny go to the lab where the plumb bob is discovered after an accidental explosion.
