It was partially Whedon's, partially Snyder's, mostly WB corporate meddling. Calling it Whedon's movie is inaccurate because he was just the guy who got called in at the 11th hour to jerry rig the movie and add last minute patches.

I can only assume it was Whedon’s idea to change “you spoke” to “you smell good.”

I can only assume it was Whedon’s idea to change “you spoke” to “you smell good.” Well in Justice League (2017) it wouldn't make sense for Lois to say "you spoke" to Superman.

I've taken to calling it the superior cut.

Yes, it's not Whedon's Justice League at all, he didn't write the script, he came in and finished a movie and fulfilled the studios wishes for a 2 hour movie. They should just be referred to as the Theatrical Cut and the Directors Cut.

I don't know of anyone who was calling it Whedons Justice League. Mostly Snyder fanboys, they tend to also buy into any pro Snyder news anti Whedon news, ignore facts and reason, and think Snyder despite making 2 huge bombs in MOS and BVS was entitled to complete his vision and JL would have made WB billions in the process...I mean they are the people who campaigned for 3 years for the Snyder cut so being rational or restrained isn't exactly in their playbook.

He has screenwriting credit for it. So did a bunch of other writers. The only other writer who has screenwriting credit is Chris Terrio. Whedon reportedly wrote around 80 pages worth of content.

Yes, I know. That's why they're separated. The point is that Whedon's are not the only hands that made the movie.

The only reason they weren't as "questionable" there was because there was more time dedicated to explaining the scenes.

The only reason they weren't as "questionable" there was because there was more time dedicated to explaining the scenes. The entire scene with Batman and the robber, the woman ranting about aliens probing her husband, Martha calling Lois “thirsty,” and the Flash falling on Wonder Woman’s breasts are all pretty questionable.
