So far it’s sitting at a 59% on RT. Fans seem to love it though. Again critics seem to have a real hate on video game movies. I mean even 2 of the best, Pikachu and Sonic are only in the 60’s with Pikachu being just a few points higher than Sonic. Not sure I understand it. Not hads to understand. They're terrible movies that fanboys rated high because they're fanboys. |

Boy, what a crappy movie. I'm surprised they killed so many major characters in the first movie of an intended series. It's MK though. No one is ever completely dead.

I still had a few minutes left in the movie when I posted. It seems like at the end they pulled a "lol, we can still bring them back" fake death thing. On principal, I stand against all "fake deaths" in movies as it removes all stakes. |

Boy, what a crappy movie. I'm surprised they killed so many major characters in the first movie of an intended series. There’s about 80 MK characters from the games. They have plenty of fan favorites still to come. Plus death isn’t always the end of a characters story. Ie Hanzo as the undead wraith Scorpion. Edit...didn’t see the follow up post. |

If we're only talking about fight choreography, blood and gore then yeah, this would be the best MK movie yet. But if we were to include acting ability, plot and story, character development, then the original movie far outshines this.
