From 1967, a Firing Line debate between archconservative Willian F. Buckley and actor Robert Vaughn... Makes a fascinating contrast with the typical "celebrity weighs in on current events" silliness that we often see today.
Vaughn argues the anti-war stance here, while Buckley defends it (in an increasingly smarmy, even disingenuous way, replete with straw men).
Vaughn -- who apparently leaned more conservative in his elder years -- really impresses here as a person of high intelligence.

I cant hear William Buckley Jr anymore without thinking of Robin Williams when he impersonated him.
Vaughn is sharp. He rattles off historical information so easily. Modern political analysts don't have a such a grasp on historical minutiae as Buckley called it as Vaughn shows here.
He should have been like this in Teenage Caveman.

While Vaughn did his Hollywood career thing, he completed his Ph.D. at USC writing on the Hollywood Blacklist. Very intelligent man. Next time I watch THE LUCIFER COMPLEX I'll appreciate his suave measured performance even more! It's not the worst film ever made despite what some say about it.

I cant hear William Buckley Jr anymore without thinking of Robin Williams when he impersonated him. I can't hear Buckley anymore without thinking of how horny he looked and sounded when he threatened to sock Gore Vidal in the goddamn face.
