I remember seeing the video on YouTube a while back. That video seems to be gone, but I found it and embedded on this site. I get a kick out of it. www.savethevinyl.org/neil-young-goes-record-shopping-and-finds-neil-young-bootlegs-records.htmlDescription for those who don't want to watch the video: In 1971, Young went to a record store with a camera crew. He found a bootleg record of a performance with CSN&Y and straight up jacked it, leaving his number with the clerk in case the boss has any problems with it. The clerk, who doesn't seem to know who Neil is, gets angry and gets Neil to come back to the store where they call the boss. The cameraman accidentally knocks over a candle (breaking it?), and Neil pays for the candle.
