Still here but should not be !! Myra Breckinridge (1970) ? ... My 1958 "Gods Little Acre" poster reads something similar " It's on the screen !... The explosive lusty story 20 million readers said could never be made" ...  Well it wasn't what I was thinking of  but as this is now the third time my tagline has shown up on another movie than the one I was thinking of I think I'd better bring this to a close  and YOU GET THE MEGABONUS I thought it was a fake one - I'd remembered it as an example of a fake tagline that was used in one of those Medved Brothers books that came out around 1980- GOLDEN TIRKEY AWARDS and/or 50 WORST MOVIES OF ALL TIME . Snarky round ups of most of the usual suspects (PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE, ROBOT MONSTER, THE SWARM etc) One of the entries in one of the books was definitely a fake title and I thought there was an entry with fake movie taglines and that was one. Racquel won worst actress in the GOLDEN TURKEY one. . I threw my copies away when I graduated to Pauline Kael so can't check if I'm right .....CAN ANYONE WHO HAS A COPY DO SO? .... but the truth is dawning that I may actually be wrong and need to make sure if I ever do run a sequel to this I bother to check my "facts"! MYRA is certainly present in the book so maybe that is what my 35 year ago mind dredged up. Anyway - you get the Megabonus doubled for that - but five points immediately deducted for ending this game with such a lousy movie - but you have still WON THE GAME!!!!!!!

Re: THE GOLDEN TURKEY AWARDS--I don't know about the taglines, but I know that the fake title was Dog of Norway, an animal movie starring "Muki the Wonder Dog." For years, I thought the fake title in the book was something called Chatterbox, the premise of which sounded so ridiculous I didn't think it could be real. But that movie really exists, and was aired yesterday afternoon on one of the cable channels despite its being borderline porn.

I had no idea Judy Canova started her career in Adult movies   No I think you meant  Never seen it myself ! Thanks for confirming the fake movie memory though. I'm convinced there was a hoax tagline section in one but I can only half remember one which was something like:
There were four men in her life - One to raise her, 0ne to love her, One to marry her and One to bury her  I Have started a list of taglines not included here but good enough to use - have 4 so far - when I hit 50 I'll post a sequel thread (with notice this ttime) Hope you can play!

Thanks timshelboy happy to have points deducted, so relieved that it was not from your personal favourites, I guess it does merit some sort of infamous significance in film history ... Happy Classic viewing to you...
