Good morning my little hommes and femmes fatale..
Guess the classic film from the poster come-on. BONUS TAGLINE PAGE 7
A timsheltastic timewaster game for any so inclined
Below are 40 taglines from the big brains in Classic movie Publicity/Marketing Departments designed to lure the unsuspecting public into cinemas.
Your task is to name the film from the tagline we got on the poster, in the trailer, or on lobby cards, in magazine ads etc.
So - if you think that that tagline 3 "A raging torrent of emotion not even nature could control" was the tagline for DRIVING MISS DAISY then reply with tagline number and title thus:
3 DRIVING MISS DAISY
In truth not all are strictly classic but I have endeavoured to include a range of genres so all can play, but sadly my command of non-English languages preclude anything but American or UK titles. Some are beginner level..... some more for the exalted...I'm doing it mostly from memory so am prepared to be challenged.!
This will probably be more fun if participants do this from memory rather than harnessing the powers of the internet - but you are all on your Honor!!!!!!*
I'll allow one question per tagline and offer one clue if requested.
In some cases I have redacted words such as a character name, location or even a word that is also the whole or partial film title
The winner will have the choice of receiving either a full dvd box set of the entire cinematic works of Vera Hruba Ralston, or a nude study in charcoal of Eric Blore in a hammock on the set of ISLAND OF LOST MEN( signed by the artist - Broderick Crawford!) , either of which are guaranteed to augment your vast collections of Golden Age ephemera.
My decisions - and indecisions - are final and absolute!

HELLO SAILOR! Honor Blackman fraternising with Sean Garrison in MOMENT TO MOMENT

* I used the American spelling of Honour to allow a gratuitous pic of Honor Blackman, who surely must be classic cinema's favourite Honor . Here she is in the delicious MOMENT TO MOMENT, a beautifully mounted faux Hitchcock from 1966, Mervyn LeRoy's swansong, now available on a Spanish import dvd R2 . Honor plays the campy neighbour of heroine Jean Seberg, who turns accomplice when Seberg's fling with a passing sailor turns ugly and a body needs disposing of....Highly Recommended. Call me a sick puppy but If I could choose one item of Honor Blackman ephemera to add to my collection it would be the diamonds she "wore" in SHALAKO

. She passed last year I think ... and a recent headline in the mail made me smile.... the news that Honor had died with quite a bundle (a couple of posh gaffs plus over £3m in the bank. The daughters got most of it but she'd left lots of £20k bequests and mementos to her many friends she'd valued spending time with (Nickolas Grace was one)
