Guardians 2 isn't as good as the first one, I'll say that. Still a fun movie. The Guardians movies have zero rewatch value beyond the cinema for me, once they're aired on normal TV they become like cheap hookers. I completely disagree, but this still made me laugh.

It's yin & yang. Guardians works for me as a humorous balance. Had the entire MCU, or primary ensemble been that bunch, I'm fairly certain I'd not want as much.
As it is, GotG2 is a skip for me. I liked it, I never need it ever again. GotG3 will be fine as a re-entry for Thor & whatnot.

GotG2 > GotG
Not a huge fan of either, but I like the second one much more. Lots of fun and at least slightly less annoying.

I’d suggest that your use of the term ‘genius’ is very liberal. Suggestion noted and ignored. LOL

Guardians 1 was great. 2 was not as great but still good. Really didnt like how they treated Drax
You have a point with the music but at least it's used well. Sometimes simple is enough. With music you dont have to be complex. It is after all, just music

I like his work for the MCU. The first Guardians movie is a really entertaining space adventure movie with large helpings of comedy and works very well. The sequel, while a bit uneven, delivers up a transcendent final act and boasts an exceptional villain.
