I watched an early 1950 Jeanne Moreau movie - her third movie - PIGALLE SAINT GERMAIN DES PRES from 1950 last week. No English subs but nice official R2 dvd print. Its described on imdb as a comedy musical and although my French limited that seemed fair assessment . Some wonderful swing and a peek at those Left Bank bohemians at play.

However - I chanced upon this trailer on youtube from the movie's English language release in 1958 after Moreau broke through with LES AMANTS and it is described as an "art" film and has been edited so it looks like the cinematic love child of a lurid Hugo Haas shocker mated with a Zugsmith sexsploitation special. There might even be the 1958 equivalent of "porn inserts"  - like they - erm "inserted" - into  Jess Franco's 99 WOMEN a decade later  I'll have to rewatch the French version again and compare. But can anyone point me towards a source for the full dubbed NO MORALS?

DORTOIR DES GRANDES 1953 which had USA release as the more "come hither" INSIDE A GIRLS DORMITORY !  with Jean Marais.
JULIETTA 1953 again with Marais
ECHEC AU PORTER 1958 thriller about a bomb in a football

and a couple of her later efforts

LE CORPS DE DIANE 1969 - sapphic tinged murder tale
AMOUR ET CONFUSION 1987 - combination of her and Kristin Scott Thomas too alluring to pass
