Some of my favourite actresses have benefitted by working with directors who worked for filmmaker Roger Corman in their careers. I've posted threads here about some of them, like Michelle Pfeiffer, Jodie Foster and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Another is Sandra Bullock. Early in her career, Bullock worked alongside her close friend Samantha Mathis in Peter Bogdanovich's 'The Thing Called Love' (1993). Bogdanovich was a member of Corman's company in the 1960s. Interestingly, in the same year she starred alongside Sylvester Stallone in 'Demolition Man' (1993); Stallone is also a filmmaker and he was a member of Corman's company in the 1970s. And in the same year she acted in Luis Llosa's 'Fire On The Amazon'; Losa was a member of Corman's company in the 1980s. So, it was a breakout year for Bullock and I like to think the spirit of Roger Corman was watching over her.
Bullock's now preparing to work on 'Bullet Train' with Brad Pitt, Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga. This is interesting as the Sonny Chiba movie 'The Bullet Train' (1975) was a major source of inspiration behind the 'Speed' action franchise. I will hopefully be checking this movie out.

Do you like Sandra Bullock, politicidal? I think she is a talented actress. I was watching her in 'Crash' (2004) the other day and thinking how great she was at being callous at the beginning of the movie.
