The August, 2017 copy of "Now Playing" will stop will be the last one printed printed and sent in the mail. To learn what will be playing on TCM, log on to TCM.com/NowPlayingEmail.
What worries me that if TCM can no longer print its monthly programs, does that mean that the network is running short of funds? Will TCM become another AMC, complete with commercials and lousy "original" programming? I sure hope not!

I see this as a problem for the non-computer user who could make up a large number of TCM older viewers. I never subscribed, but a friend used to get it for his grandmother.
i think that this is part of the post-Osborne TCM that is seeing more newer films and trying to appeal to a younger audience. One thing they need to realize is that there is a large number of younger people who like films from the Classic era.
i have been out of my home for almost two years and I miss having TCM available to me at my current nursing home. The previous one had it, but otherwise it was a hell hole.

When Ted Turner relinquished control of Cartoon Network and Boomerang, the quality of those two channels declined sharply. I hate to think of the same thing happening to TCM.
I wonder what Turner is up to these days. You don't see his named bandied about any more.
