If he misses, the game goes to OT. Any shot where the guy had to make it or the game was over is a tougher shot. Which was my "problem" with the Gonzaga shot - - if he missed, it's just five more minutes of basketball. I know it was mentioned in the opening post, but the Bryce Drew shot is way up there for me. The only problem is that it was a first round game, but other than that: it's full court in 2.5 seconds, Valpo is down 2, it wins the game for them (not just sending it to overtime), and it's just an aesthetically pleasing play with the extra pass thrown into the mix.

The question is how many false equivalencies/misquotes/deliberate misinterpretations of my commentary will he make. In recent weeks, I've undertaken a new approach to this board. I only respond to posts worth responding to. It makes this board, and really the internet in general, a vastly more enjoyable experience. Look at the big brain on klaw!
I agree, unless I'm in a shitty mood. But then I usually take it out on the Politics Board.

Would you argue the greatest FG kick would come in a Super Bowl or in a playoff game?
How about the greatest goal scored? Stanley Cup Game 7 or Round 1 of the playoffs?
How about greatest Home Run - game 7 of a World Series or the the ALDS/NLDS
Greatest 3 pointer ever made - NBA Finals Game 7 or Round 1 of the playoffs between a 4 and 5 seed?
I would argue the context of the circumstances, as I am now. (And for the record, the greatest FG kick was in a playoff game, not the Super Bowl. Vinatieri into the teeth of a blizzard to TIE the game in the divisional round against the Raiders.) Generally speaking, the play the team/player has to make to keep their chances alive as opposed to win-or-go-to-OT is the more impressive play. Your real argument is, "It was a Philly team, therefore it was the greatest." And that surprised you? I knew when i was pasting the Jenkins shot that frog would cum in his pants over it.

That Villanova game still fresh in lots of people's mind. Imagine if this Gonzaga-UCLA was the final game. It would have been considered one of the greatest NCAA game ever, if not already.

Not to hijack this thread, but where is the thread for tonight’s championship game?

Forgot Jerome Whitehead (before my time).
But that was more of Butch Lee's amazing pass. Longer than Grant Hill's. Whitehead did school Cornbread Maxwell

I always thought an OT goal to win a Stanley Cup was surely to be considered the greatest goal ever scored Crosby scoring the Olympic Gold medal OT goal, on home ice. It's still behind Paul Henderson v USSR, yet it's now ahead of Gretzky-to-Lemieux Canada Cup 1987. What can I say, we've had our share of generational gifts.
