So which version of the song Venus do you think is the better one, the original by Shocking Blue from 1969 or the Bananarama version from 1984 ?

I don't particularly dislike the Bananarama version, but I prefer the original.

I didn't know this was a cover until a year or two ago. Since then, I've listened to more of Shocking Blue's music.
Never liked Bananarama much, mostly due to the treble-orientated '80s production.

Only heard the Bananarama one a couple of times. It's pathetic.
Hadn't liked the original for most of my life. Sung phonetically as they didn't know English then. Got used to it in the past year or two.
