El Dorado and Heat of the Night.
Of Dorado, which is very good and super cool, I still prefer Rio Lobo as a "guy film" with meaningless shoot em ups and the most beautiful harem of chicks ever in a John Wayne film, but Dorado was great. Still, while I love the knife throwing scene, I believe his mentor was a card cheat, and Charlie was the good guy. I'd like to see Charlie have a brother who would beat Mississippi to death later on.
Heat of the Night, I like it a bit better than Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, but both are good. The best of Sidney, though, is still LILIES OF THE FIELD.
