Iβm sticking with my pick of Baylor to win it all - I canβt believe I actually correctly picked the 2 teams in the final, I donβt think Iβve ever done that. Should be a great game, I wish it started about an hour earlier though.

I have no dog in this so Iβll pick Gonzaga. Iβm generally not a fan of things from Texas so Iβm choosing wherever Gonzaga is. I hope itβs not New Jersey.

Could be one of the best games in title history. Undoubtedly the two best teams all year. Can Gonzaga fight Baylor's three guard outside attack in MaCio Teague, Jared Butler and Davion Mitchell? Can Baylor do anything against Gonzaga's frontcourt, Drew Timme and Corey Kispert? Baylor looked invincible against Houston, Gonzaga had to throw everything at UCLA. Will that undefeated season be an albatross around the Zags neck? Foul trouble could be a key, neither team uses their bench much.
I said Baylor would win this game in October and I'm sticking to it.

Should be awesome. This game is going to be a track meet. 100 yard dash. Both teams like to run and gun. Even Timme, the center for Gonzaga. Both are good three point shooting teams. Has potential to be a thrilla from the fieldhouse.
I've picked Gonzaga to win it all so go Zags.

Ok cool, Washington State is good, I donβt mind rooting for that. And thank you for knowing more about US geography than I do. It's been an accomplishment building a nothing basketball program up to a superpower. Gonzaga has been playing D1 basketball since 1952 and had one NCAA appearance (one and done in 1995) before Dan Monson took over in 1997. In Monson's 2nd season, he took Gonzaga to the Elite 8, losing to eventual champs UConn. But it was viewed as a fluky run, a George Mason, Florida Gulf Coast-esque run. Monson leaves for Minnesota, Mark Few takes over and Gonzaga stays a power. 630-124 record and a bid every year. It tough to build a power program where one didn't exist before without the benefit of playing in a power conference. Jerry Tarkanian did at UNLV, but that was Vegas, not Spokane. Will Gonzaga stay on top when Few flews the coop?
Is this the first NCAA title game where the coaches rhyme? Few v. Drew!

If my calculation is correct, I would finish 3rd again in the pool if Gonzaga wins.
Correction: 5th.
