I just woke up, checked out the board, and this is what I see? Red Sox uniforms with no red...... I know sometimes I come off as "old guy shaking his fist" and all that, but seriously...... Who comes up with these awful ideas? And worse yet, who APPROVES these ideas? I love baseball, I need baseball, why does MLB make it so difficult??? WHY THE FUCK DOES MLB MAKE IT SO DIFFICULT? ? This is purely Sacrilege. Stuff like this is what set off the chain reaction to "Falling Down". Make sure you hide the sharp object at your home before you go too far.

It would be so great if when the Sox wear those awful things, the fans actually root for the other team and totally boo the Sox. I think that's the only way to change this kind of crap. Most people are weak lemmings though, so they'll just automatically fall in line and head to the gift store to purchase a "unique" Sox jersey. When it comes to stupidity and the human race in 2021, the horse has already left the barn.

Well, they’re not gonna be every day unis. It’s like when the Padres wear camouflage or teams have green St. Patrick’s Day jerseys or the pink breast cancer football stuff. While they’re an abomination I don’t think you’ll see them every day. The legacies of Rich Gedman and George Scott are safe.

Well, the Padres wear camouflage because of all of the military based in San Diego, and teams wearing green on St Patrick's Day makes sense. Not what yellow and blue have to do with the Red Sox, so it's a real bad look. I don't care if it's for one day or 365 days. IT'S FUCKING STUPID. You see, that's why our society is getting more and more fucked. Tradition gets steamrolled and people say "So what, it's only a day" or "It doesn't effect the overall picture". Apathy leads to darkness. "Hey, it's only a couple of Jews being persecuted, not a big deal". That's how fascism builds momentum.

I should've posted the article, it's an homage to the Boston Marathon. I agree with you 100% though, like I said earlier in the thread, I don't care if it's just for a weekend, it's stupid. Are the Celtics going to start wearing BU, BC, Harvard and Northeastern colors every year during the Beanpot? It's idiotic.

Are the Celtics going to start wearing BU, BC, Harvard and Northeastern colors every year during the Beanpot? It's idiotic. I just saw a commercial on NESN all about the yellow uniforms. Apparently, it's all about "facing the future and flipping it like a bat". What that means, I don't have a clue. But the Nike swoosh is very visible, so that's what really counts. Because nothing says social change like being led by a corporation that uses child labor to make their product. The play by play announcer said that he's heard that "the kids" like them, and Jerry Remy just called them "sharp". I'm sure those opinions are 100% theirs, and not NESN telling them what to say. 🙄 The other big thing is that the jerseys say Boston, not Red Sox. It's all about uniting the community. Apparently, if it just says Red Sox, lots of folks won't understand the Boston connection. You seen that film Idiocracy? Starting to look more like a documentary each and every day.

The Patriot Day unis always said “Boston “ and not “Red Sox”. I guess for one day it’s okay. But let’s not pretend is for anyone but to sell jerseys. For a good cause or no, I’m sure the team will get a nice cut

Red pants with a white shirt and a red hat would be cool.

Just change the caps. Can't we just leave it there? How big of a mainstream market is it for jerseys anyways?
