Liverpool come in as slight favourites at 6/4 playing Madrid's 17/10 with the stalemate at 5/2. To go through to the semis vs either Porto or Chelsea, Liverpool are surely quite unbackable at this stage with 8/13 playing Madrid's 6/5.
Real Madrid (4-3-3) Courtois; Lucas Vazquez, Eder Militao, Nacho, Mendy; Modric, Casemiro, Kroos; Asensio, Benzema, Vinicius Jr. Substitutes: Lunin, Altube, Marcelo, Valverde, Odriozola, Isco, Mariano Diaz, Rodrygo, Arribas, Chust.
Liverpool (4-3-3) Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson; Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Keita; Salah, Mane, Jota. Substitutes: Adrian, Davies, Thiago, Milner, Firmino, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Tsimikas, Shaqiri, Davies, R Williams, Cain.
Firmino is benched in favour of Jota. Kroos and Vinicius are the two changes from Madrid's last outing v Eibar. Ramos is out.

Sergio Ramos to break Mo Salah's arm, or at least to dislocate it 👍

Actually confident. More confident with this away one. I hear their other CB is out with covid.

Modric goes down in the D claiming assault by Wijnauldum but the ref is having none of it. Mendy makes mincemeat of Arnold and swoops in a cross which meets the head of Vinicius but his header goes a yard wide across the face of goal. With 17 minutes gone Madrid have become in-play favourites here.

GOAL
Oh Vinicius has scored on '27 With the long ball played forward by Kroos he was between Arnold and another Liverpool defender but chested it down, shook off the defenders and drove it past Alisson low and hard.

Over half an hour gone and Liverpool yet to have a single shot, on or off target.

No luck for City there.
Player threw himself to the ground with no contact. Robbed of the penalty by VAR.

GOAL
Asensio on '36 takes full advantage of Arnold's blunder. The ball was looped forward near to the area where Arnold's header travelled cross-field straight into the path of Asensio who duly finished. Arnold has had a rotter of a game so far but so has Liverpool in general, I'm afraid.

Thiago on for Keita minutes before the break. Straight swap. Oh Kabak! He tries to play it back to Alisson but it's weak and Asensio seizes on the shortcoming and goes just wide. The ref blows up on a poor Liverpool half.

GOAL
It was built up from the right, found its way to Jota in the area whose shot was blocked but fell to Salah who drilled it home on '51 for two-one. Real Madrid have spent the opening six minutes sitting back happy to soak up Liverpool's pressure. But the plan has cost them a goal already. Plan B coming up.

GOAL
Corner played short on '65, picked up by Modric, screwed across to Vinicius in the box who reacts quickly to nutmeg Phillips and it flies past Alisson. 3-1 Madrid.

Well, they've got an away goal but, well, we'll see. 3-1. The late joy at The Ethiad was short-lived after Reus copped the equalizer on '84 only for Foden to pot on '90 for 2-1.

Shocking again. But at least they partly turned up for the second half and got that away goal.
Not particularly a fan of Thiago thus far but what a terrible idea putting in Keita for that game.
