I just talked to the lady next door, as she getting her 2nd shot today, and she's so jealous I'm getting the J&J! I told her where I'm going and she said her brother went to the same place when they did the J&J rollout last month, and they were so streamlined, they don't want you showing up more than 15 minutes early (they're THAT accurate) and he was in and out in 22 minutes including the time he waited. She said he also didn't have any side effects. This made me feel even better. Good luck today autumn! Keep us posted

Nobody and I mean nobody put that poison into your body. PLEASE! According to someone on another site the US makes the best vaccines so if this is poison at least she’ll be getting the best poison.

I'm glad I'll have a friend with me for the drive. That always helps the nerves.

Thank you enigma. I'll be leaving in about a half hour. I'm glad I'll have a friend with me for the drive. That always helps the nerves. Are you back? How'd it go I'm back! Wow, it was so streamlined. There were thousands of people who turned up and they had this down to a science. I was only behind 4 cars before I got my vaccine. It was all very quick and easy. But I got flagged with the orange tag because I did get an anaphylactic reaction to a drug (never a vaccine), and as a precaution, they wanted me to wait 30 minutes instead of the standard 15, so that added extra time. I was astonished at how quick this was. They were very vigilant and stood over me for the first 3 minutes, checking in to make sure I was okay before sending me over to observation. All in all it was a very easy process. I'm so glad it's done and over. Plus, my doggy got to stay next door and play with their dog and go for a long walk on the trails, so he's all tuckered out. We each had our own "long day." lol

Autumn, I'm so glad that it went well for you! And, the extra precaution of the time as being observed as a bug-under-glass, is actually a good thing. Kaiser Permanente wasn't "iffy" about the basic 15 minutes. For my 1st Moderna, I took the shot at exactly 11:44, and the "release" note on my paperwork said that I could leave at 11:59. They were just a precise, last Wednesday, when I took the 2nd shot. It's so nice to see that things are Looking Up. But, we need to have patience, and to maintain caution.

They had it right to the minute. The very minute. The wrote the time I received the vaccine down on the orange placard and I couldn't leave 29 minutes later. It was exactly 30. The man at the observation gate was actually looking at his watch to get things timed precisely. The first 3 minutes, they stayed right there and hovered over me. They also had this cheering squad going on, and the energy was very high. People brought their dogs (not for the vaccines, but for cookies that were handed out. My friend had her dog with her, so, cookie time!). Precision, precision, precision, and not a bit of traffic. I was so surprised.

They gave us a paper with the time to leave but nothing stopped us from leaving early, most stayed the 15 minutes. It was a well run operation, very smooth, never left the vehicle.

Can't tell you how many years because I don't know how old you are. But I do know you will live to be in your late 90's.

Sounds like they really have their stuff together, and I'm so glad it went so well for you! I've heard horror stories of unorganized chaos and people waiting forever! Our daughter is getting her first Pfizer vaccine tomorrow, and it's set up through the City in which she lives. Another very well organized event. We're getting there!

I'm now on week #3 which is supposed to be the final week to get through, since of the extremely low number of women who developed blood clots, occurred between 9 and 13 days from getting their vaccine. I got my vaccine on the 11th.
The risks associated with the J&J vaccine is so far the lowest. Of almost 8 million vaccines given, if I recall, there have been 3 deaths and 6 women who presented with rare blood clots. However, of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, when I googled how many deaths have occurred in relationship to those vaccines combined, the result was over 900. So all in all, I still seem to have good odds.
Now, here we go again with my bestie, who I know is coming from a good place, has a great big heart, and loves me very much, and is protective of me. I read that J&J lifted their pause because after consideration, they felt the risk was objectively, very, very low and they chose to issue an accompanying warning (they'll probably just not give it to women in their 20's or so).
She also told me that J&J issued a statement (which I haven't confirmed yet) that J&J is also suggesting everyone get a second shot, so it will no longer be their "one and done" jab, but will be given much like Moderna and Pfizer, with two jabs. However the 2nd jab won't be required for another month or two? (I'm fuzzy on details).
Has anyone else heard or read anything about this? I'm sure I'll see something on the 10 o'clock news, but I've not read about this yet.
So far, not a single side-effect for me. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Nothing at all. No headaches, sniffles, muscle aches, soreness. I've been feeling just dandy.

LOL!
Forgive me. I had to. It was too easy.

What's ironic is that after all the texts my bestie sent me, now that J&J lifted their pause, she said after doing more research, and she's going to wait until she can get the J&J vaccine herself.... Even if it means she has to wait until the Fall to do so. LOL
What a surprising turn of events given she was worried about me, and now she's done all this research and investigation and told me she feels that the J&J would be a much safer vaccine option.
My how the tides turn. I just thought that was a funny thing and had to share. (She could have gotten one with me when I got mine, but noooooo!) haha
