Directed by Ilya Naishuller, the Russian guy who made Hardcore Henry, and written by Derek Kolstad, who penned the John Wick movies. Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman from “Breaking Bad” and its spin-off “Better Call Saul”) is the unlikely action hero, pulling a Liam Neeson. He plays a seemingly ordinary family man dragged into a catastrophic sequence of events following a run-of-the-mill home invasion.
It was a pretty good and stylish action movie with some great fight choreography. It’s a bit over the top at times, but not nearly by as much as its older brothers in the John Wick franchise. I think fans of the genre would probably find something to enjoy.

Great fun. It's John Wick with Bob Odenkirk and without the martial arts.

I adore Bob Odenkirk. I saw previews for this and was interested.

In that case I think you will like it. It's a bit strange to see him liamneesoning, but he acquits himself well.

I found it to be a rather poor imitation of John Wick. It lacks Wick's self-awareness, the world building and the amazing slick action choreography. Wick actually has fun with it's rather generic plotline. Also, Keanu Reeves is one of the greatest action stars of all time, IMO. Few action stars can compete with him.
It's written by the same guy but just seemed like a poor knock off of Wick.
I absolutely hated Naishuller's headache inducing shaky cam crap Hardcore Henry. He's no match for Chad Stahelki's brilliance.

It was over the top but still quite enjoyable. Bob needed to rip a jaw open or seomthing to make it xompelte.

It's more like a Liam Neeson action movie without Liam Neeson.
So I definitely enjoyed it as a substitute for a Liam Neeson action movie.
Bob Odenkirk is the next Liam Neeson.

From Variety: "Universal's "Nobody," an action thriller which attempts to give "Better Call Saul's" Bob Odenkirk the full Liam Neeson, middle-aged ass-kicker treatment, came in second, with $2.6 million. The film's domestic total now stands at $15.6 million after three weeks of release."

Not so much on the first one, where it is a relatively minor plot element. But on the sequels it becomes front and centre and in my opinion it is too absurd for that.

It's a fun little subplot in the original, but they take it too far in the sequels. It distracts from the action and eventually commits the cardinal sin for a shoot 'em up action movie-- it gets you thinking. The more you start thinking about how this world would work, the less sense everything makes.

It’s a total middle class dad movie, nothing offensively bad but I wouldn’t watch it again. It’s got passable action, passable humor, but does nothing exceptionally well.

Bob Odenkirk was speaking to Variety, and they asked about the potential Nobody 2.
"We're working on it right now and making Nobody 2 something that happens. Everyone's into it and wants it to happen and that includes Universal and everybody. I think it can happen."

I finally got around to seeing this on HBO Max a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it. And lol at anyone taking this film seriously or complaining how unrealistic it is Its an action comedy after all(and was advertised as such) and the makers of it weren't intending for it to be taken seriously at all. I thought Bob Odenkirk was great in the lead role and you could tell he had fun with it. Some really clever & cool stylish directed sequences thru out this film (and wasn't aware it was directed by the same guy that directed Hardcore Henry)
Overall, I thought this was a harmless entertaining action comedy.
7/10
Also, depending on how Bob Odenkirk's health is (hopefully he's healthier right now) I'd welcome a sequel for sure.
