It's that time of the year... First promotion of the year could happen today. If Norwich win against Derby, and both Brentford and Swansea fail to win their games, the Canaries are bounced straight back up to the Prem. Care to predict Millwall - Swansea today Zos ? Are the Lions gonna do the Canaries a favour in the early kick off? You gotta be thinking that with a good run in, and some luck with other results, that the play-offs might just still be reachable for Millwall 🤔

No promotion party for Norwich today... Millwall are getting proper pumped by Swansea. Just finished watching it. Scoreline didn't reflect the game, couple of great strikes from players we could not afford. apart from that, not a great deal in it. We maybe were not "on the beach", but we were definitely "boarding the plane".

Tykes are 5th and 5 points clear of Reading in 7th. Have Huddersfield, Preston, Coventry and Rotherham on the run home before finishing with Norwich.

Promotions - The championship looks like a auto promoted Norwich Watford quinella, but who joins them ? Surely Brentford won’t stub their toe this time. I just don’t think Swansea, Bournemouth, Reading have it to win back to back games to get promoted. Barnsley though, have pulled a season for the ages out of their derrière, so why get get promoted as a cherry on top ? League One - 2 out of Hull, Posh or Sunderland gets auto. The only other contenders are Blackpool and Lincoln. Portsmouth, Charlton and Ipswich keep losing games they should win, and won’t win promotion. Blackpool host Sunderland next week. Big game. League Two - Cheltenham and Cambridge have been leading all year, and don’t look like being headed. Bolton are the form team in the division and look a likely 3rd place finisher and auto-promotion. The playoffs - Tranmere always seem to arsenal these things. No promotion this year for FGR - sorry Father Jack. National League - Sutton wins, Torquay goes up. Hartlepool and Notts County will have to wait another year to get back to their rightful spot in the EFL
tldr Norwich, Watford, Brentford Hull, Sunderland, Peterborough Cheltenham, Cambridge, Bolton, Tranmere Sutton, Torquay

Honestly, if Millwall were to be promoted, 17th in the EPL would be a fantastic achievement for a “small” club. But finishing 17th means watching your lads go around each week and getting belted by the big boys more often than not. Alternatively, it’s entirely possible they do a Derby County a few seasons back with 1 win and 11pts.

Time to get some reasons in for not going up 🧐 Do we really want to get promoted this season 🤔 To compete in League 1 we would need a big clear out and recruitment over the summer. Higher standard players would be a big spend. Can we afford that given that empty grounds all season has seriously curtailed our revenues. Perhaps this isn't a good year to get promoted. Let's get the turnstile revenues back next season, then go for promotion when finances are better. That's my take on it, and I'm sticking to it.

You never want your team to lose so you follow and if that leads to promotion so be it. Would definitely want us to invest bugger all though. Rather than get millions in hock and still go down I would rather keep the money from the single season, go down grab the parachute payments and use all that finance to push for a second tilt at promotion from a much stronger position to possible survive. Honestly though, I have no time for the EPL, rarely watch games and don't like the VAR, no contact, diving football it has created.Would much rather watch a non league match than an EPL one. Am happy slugging it out in the Championship which has probably been the most competitive of all the main divisions and any finish above relegation is a good one.

Both Grimsby Town, and Southend United, relegated out of the EFL to the National League after last night. Grimsby are gone. Southend - not just yet. They need a miracle, but winning both games and needing either Scunthorpe or Colchester to lose both, and overcome 8 or 12 goal difference respectively can be done.
