Anyone have encountered any celebs out there? Any kind will do. I have encountered some. All good but one.
E.G. Daily - Singer/Actress from Rugrats, Pee Wees Big Adventure, The Devils Rejects. I love this woman. She is so incredibly sweet and nice.
Audrey Dunham - Professional baker and wife of comedian Jeff Dunham Very nice woman. Shes great.
Jewel Shepard - Actress from Return of the Living Dead, Party Camp, Slasher.Com I talked to he a couple of times. Shes cool. I told her I enjoyed Slasher.com. She was real appreciative.
Shawn C. Phillips - Actor/Youtuber Really cool guy. He responds to most of his fans and really cares what they have to say.
Roberto Lombardi - Actor from The Happening This guy acts in short Freddy Kruger films. Hes very good and I told him that. He was very thankful.
Ray Comfort - Producer/Author This is the only bad one. Ray is a crazy asshole. A total grade A jerk and perverted con man. I seen him in interviews. Hes always rude and lies non stop. My encounter was very weird. He started to to get me to admit I have a porn addiction. No one brought that up. I also posted about my depression and he told me to "Be Carful". This guy sucks. Why does he have fans?

No actors or singers but I once ‘met’ Julius "Dr. J" Erving. Got his autograph when he was down here in Melbourne in 1992 along with Michael Cooper (they were both already retired). I said thanks after the signing and he said “all right”.

I met him at Crypticon a few years back. Paid $30 to get my Jason X figure signed. I didn't even ask for a picture with him. He offered. He was like, "You want some pictures?" We were like...sure! Got some cool pictures with him choking us. Lol.

I guess people would call them infamous not famous. On my way to Pennsylvania from California I stopped in Vegas. After gambling for awhile I went to a piano bar they had upstairs. Went to bar and ordered a drink. And guess who sits down beside me? On one side it was Ginger Lynn and Traci Lords. On the other side it was Amber Lynn. When Ginger saw the expression on my face she asked if I knew who they were. I said yes. She then asked if I had seen any of their movies and I said yes. We all just started talking and they were friendly as could be. Not stuck up at all. They even got me a few beers. They were older when I met them but they still looked great.

Traci is actually pretty friendly and witty.

Jerk Jarman was more arthouse famous than mainstream famous but I ended up chatting with him in a bar which was hosting an event for a comic I’d contributed to. Although I had already read a few of his stories it did feel good hearing them in person.

I accidentally snubbed Heath Ledger in 2001, because I'm kind of an idiot. I think that's actually my only regret in life, especially considering what happened to him. I had a little taste of celebrity in India, with crowds screaming my name and guys shouting that they loved me. It's just madness. I never wanted to be famous, and that only strengthened my views. There is far more freedom in anonymity than in fame, and I like my freedom.

There is far more freedom in anonymity than in fame, and I like my freedom. Why were you celebrated in India? This sounds like a cool story. Lol, it's really not that interesting. I was just doing some charity work in India, and the whole village went nuts for me. I usually travel very fast, and when people on the street know me by name, then I know I need to get moving. But I was in this village for 2 weeks, and things just got crazier by the day, with bigger and bigger crowds, and people coming in from neighboring villages to see me. On the last day, they had me duck down in the middle of the bus while we were leaving because they were worried people were going to stampede. There were hundreds of people screaming my name and swarming the bus, and it was actually pretty scary. We weren't sure what was going to happen. A few days later, I opened Google to check the news, and the first thing I saw was a picture of me on the Google News homepage. It made it into the national newspapers. I honestly didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The whole thing was just so unbelievably absurd. I haven't done any charity work overseas since then. I just think it's better to travel quick and light to help avoid complications like this.

Would Love to see what David Lloyd called depressing. Oh it certainly wasn’t great. He and Alan Moore used to mix with us small press folk mainly due to Paul Gravett who produced Escape along with his partner from their one bedroom flat. I’m one of the underachievers from that magazine/comic.

I would never meet any celebrity. Majority of them come off as self-centered doucebags. It also kinda feels lame meeting a celebrity.
My admiration for them is only confined to the screen. Beyond that, I couldn't care any less about them.
No disrespect to anyone in this thread. We all have different opinions about things in life. Having different opinions doesn't make us right or wrong.
