No. Heterosexual men objectify women. Healthy women like being objectified. As long as they are respected for being human beings. And not JUST a sex object. You can’t have it both ways... Objectify: degrade to the status of a mere object. Sorry.

And yet that disagrees with you. No it doesn't. You can’t degrade people to the status of mere objects while retaining respect for them as human beings.

You can’t degrade people to the status of mere objects while retaining respect for them as a human being. I never did. Mysogynists see no value in women other than their ability to be a sex object. I spent five of the six sentences of the opening paragraph talking about her positive tangible and intangible qualities. A mysogynist would only care about her ability to be a sex object. Women want to be seen as sex objects. But not JUST sex objects.

I don't have it both ways. 1) I'm not a mysogynist. 2) I do see women as --- among other things --- sex objects. 1) Mysogynists see women as having no value other than being sex objects. 2) Healthy people see women as having mutiple qualities. Just one being a sex object. I'm a 2. Not a 1.

I think you understand what the issue was.

But it wasn’t the topic of our little chat because we were talking about objectification because your comment about it is what I responded to. Good talk. Thanks.

What the heck?! One or two lines about the lead female's attractiveness hardly merits a "misogynistic" tally. He didn't even use the word "boobs" once, for Chrissakes!
I just thought the reviewer seemed a little immature and naive or ignorant. Isn't misogyny the hatred of women? The person who wrote the review had nothing but nice things to say about the girl.
The review was not misogynistic at all. It wasn't even creepy or perverted. I just thought it was a rather boring movie review that came off as having been written by a 14 year old boy.

So, only 14 year old boys care about a woman's looks? Huh? Where did you get that from? The review itself was flat and kinda dull and obvious and without much depth of perspective. Like the way an ordinary 14 year old boy might approach a movie review. Same with the writing style. And I'm not insulting 14 year old boys, either. That's just how the review came off to me.

What is superficial about a guy being critically aware of the attractiveness of a Hollywood actress? Isn't that normal behavior? Don't girls, ladies and women take notice, and value a man who is attractive? It sounds like you are in high school and it sounds depthless and superficial. Enough saying she is pretty; you don't need to go into silly nonsense that doesn't matter. Yes, you have your opinion, but you negate the balance of your review with that silly infantile first paragraph. Depthless! I love it! Gonna make that my new favorite go-to insult.
