Had a package that was supposed to arrive by 10 pm. The app said I was the next stop, and at 9:50 the GPS tracker on the Amazon app showed the truck pulling up outside my apartment building. I waited by the buzzer to let them in when they buzzed. Minutes go by. I check the clock and it's 9:55. I look out the front window and the Prime Delivery truck isn't out there. I go out and check the front stoop in case they left the package without buzzing, but there's nothing there. I check the GPS tracker on the app and see the truck traveling away from town on the highway. Meanwhile, the app still says the package is out for delivery and arriving today.
Update: the app says the driver has a few more stops to make on the way to my address, but the GPS shows the truck far away from town now.

Yup......in fact, stayed up late one night (even though I had to be up VERY early for work the next morning, and didn't want to be roused out of bed when the delivery person hit the doorbell, or pounded on the door) as the app showed the driver slowly getting closer and closer to my address.......only to have him/her get within a few doors of my place, and then, just as you said, suddenly see the driver's vehicle (again, on the app's delivery map) heading out of town on the freeway, before the Amazon webpage finally 'updated' and now said, "Order arriving TOMORROW" !! SAVE FERRIS

One time Catman watched on the app as the driver went up and down the street repeatedly looking for the address. After about 10 minutes, he finally caught on that there are two rows of houses on this street and made the delivery.
That's certainly better than the local FedEx drivers. They actually tried to return a package to sender because 'the address does not exist.' Fortunately, a smarter person at the FedEx distribution center double checked and sent the package to a different deliver center which delivered the package with no trouble.

I've been notified that the package has been delivered . . . and it hasn't. This is usually when it goes through the post office - who LIE LIKE DOGS!!!!! This has happened to me at least three times this year alone. I hate when it gets delivered via the USPS.

I recently had a delivery claim it was delivered before it actually was. But it was delivered a few minutes later.
I was the next stop. The same driver delivered something the next day while i was on my porch. So he had to speak to me to ask where to put it since he's trying to stay 6 feet away. He set it on the grass and i got it after he took off.
He said it got labeled as delivered early because he almost accidentally gave it to a neighbor.
They usually take a pic for proof.
He stated he was about to take the pic but noticed he had the wrong package.
So neither the neighbor or my package has a photo for proof on our amazon accounts But we still got our packages.

I've stopped ordering anything on Fridays because around here it seems USPS always delivers for Amazon on the weekends. And they never deliver the packages!

Wow, apparently I've been lucky. I've heard the horror stories but have never lived one.
I'm very careful on who I order from even if it's Amazon. I always look at merchant reviews. If something seems weird, I won't order from them. I always check site reviews and fake review sites. Price isn't always the deciding factor.
Never have I had an issue with a delivery other than being a couple days late.
