Got an album it seems nobody knows but you, and you think it is pure magic?
Let's hear it.
This would be one of mine.

Rare Bird indeed. Listened to the first couple of songs. I liked them. Will listen to the whole thing soon as I get a chance. Thanks.

LA Getaway - I found this in a cutout bin ca 1978. Nice R&B, Allman Brothers, Leon Russell feel to it.

Rare Bird indeed. Listened to the first couple of songs. I liked them. Will listen to the whole thing soon as I get a chance. Thanks. Glad you liked it. There's a story behind how I found this album. As I do on most vacations, I escape the wife for an afternoon, or two, to go record shopping, this time it was in Denver, and found a record store within walking distance of the hotel called, 'Recollect Records'. Arrived to find it shut with a 'Back in a minute' sign and waited. 30 minutes later got in and came across this album. The only thing I knew of Rare Bird was one song off a compilation I have called, 'Epic Forest', which I really liked. I looked at the back and noticed one track, which I won't name here, so I don't spoil it if you listen to the album, where I thought if that track is what I think it is then it might be worth it. I listened to the album and realized, 'Oh my, this whole album is pretty darn good.' So much so, I had to look for it on Amazon and CD's were for sale so snapped it up. Today, I got my 1st vaccination dose, and decided to listen to it in the car, and when I got back saw this thread and immediately thought to add it. Recollect Records, Denver, CO

The LA Paisley Underground scene was I suspect much more to your taste than mine, but this (strictly speaking mini-) album, made by an ex-Dream Syndicate member is utterly fantastic - And I've yet to meet anyone else who has even heard of it. Until now, perhaps? On a less musical note, I recently came across this pic of her aged 22 in 1982 - Perky. Very perky.

Well probably will be mocked for this but I love it. Reality TV show teen Lil' Chris debut is one I love. Released in 2006 it sometimes sounds like a "New Wave" album from decades earlier. Just good pop fun

Got an album it seems nobody knows but you, and you think it is pure magic? Let's hear it. My criteria for the albums I'm including in this post are: - It's by an obscure band
- I didn't discover it until long after its original release date
- It's a really good album that made me regret not finding earlier
HOLY MOTHER - Toxic Rain (1998) - Discovered by me in 2012 www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLX65wdQ7Hv7P6ZgucwL7TJOKprnGkegjX (Partial Album Playlist) RAWHEAD REXX - Diary in Black (2003) - Discovered by me in 2020
