When I travel on the London Overground I take advantage of the free wi-fi offered by Transport for London. The only (very) small niggle with this is that ProBoards will tap me on the shoulder, say “can we talk?” and then politely ask me to to turn my ad blocker off. First time this happened I thought I’d accidentally activated ad blocker but soon realised that this is just part of TFL’s eternal battle against ProBoards. Just thought I’d mention this.

That notification has nothing to do with your connection. If you're getting it without an ad blocker, it's probably a cookie issue.
What's TFL?

The thing is that I only get this notice when I travel on the London Overground. It’s more of a puzzle than a problem but it might be something that interests the technical staff.

The "technical staff" here is bartlesby, but there isn't much he can do about it since it's not a local issue. This problem is better suited for the PB Support Forum.

I'm not at all familiar with TFL's WiFi but there is the possibility they are blocking some ads at the router level, which would trigger the message.

It’s a very small issue that probably only affects a tiny percentage of ProBoard users. I know they block certain sites but I can’t think of any adds I’ve seen here causing any concern.
