Yes, especially the movie boards. Occasionally, people would actually comment on their own boards. I remember the director of a movie replied when I complimented a band that was featured in the movie. He said it was his high school band or something like that, and he out then in the movie. Can't remember the name of the movie now, but it was sort of a b-movie level comedy. I don’t remember her real name, but Airline_Amy was in a film around 2007 and she was a regular on the Passion of the Christ board at the time and it felt like a big deal. It was some low budget film but even that felt like a ‘I kinda sorta know that person in that movie!’ Moment.

I miss certain posters more than the message boards themselves. But there's plenty of posters here whose posts I enjoy reading.

I'm still on IMDb, I don't like their new makeover for title pages and ratings. As for film boards, I find this one better as it has more features and allows posting pictures.

Like others I miss the individual discussion threads that were linked at the bottom of each movie page. When IMDB started purging and burning threads in their last 2 years it was like they were torching the library of Alexandria in internet terms because we had posts going back to 2002, more than 10 years worth of movie information and conversations, poof!
But also those last 2-3 years saw an influx of trolls and shit posters on almost every board. It was like the Visigoths and Vandals came storming in and were tracking their shit caked boots all over the place!

Miss a lot of the people from the old Sports Board. Some of the better posters didn’t make the jump. Other than that...

You can't even edit your old Lists there... I've tried.

I miss the specific movie boards, but the old IMDb message boards have been gone a long time now and this place has proven a worthy successor.

I quite like this forum and it seems more civilised. I do miss some old board posters but definitely not the vacuous trolls, pompous art snobs and offensive know-it-alls there that seem refreshingly absent here. The Beatles 'Experts' that were not alive then but pontificated their book-read knowledge as if they were there....and the cyber bullies with sock puppets who offensively berated and menacingly privately messaged innoffensive folk.....and the musical snobs who tried to sound superior and intelligent by slagging other's musical tastes. Definitely don't miss those vermin and glad they're not here in abundance.
Unless they're hiding here Incognito.LoL
The folk who created these boards seem to not broach much horridness. Some creep going by the moniker of Charles Manson didn't last long.
Apart from the inability on my part to seem to be able to post a single photographic image....I prefer it here .

Apart from the inability on my part to seem to be able to post a single photographic image....I prefer it here . You can't upload your own images due to size limitations, but here is how to link to an image that exists elsewhere on the web. 1. While creating/editing your post, click the Insert Image icon. It looks like a framed picture, something like this: ![](https://images.twinkl.co.uk/tr/image/upload/illustation/Insert-Picture-Icon-without-Background.png) 2. Copy and paste the URL of the image into the dialog box, e.g., "https://images.twinkl.co.uk/tr/image/upload/illustation/Insert-Picture-Icon-without-Background.png" 3. Click the Insert Image button. Alternatively you can: 1. Copy and paste the URL of the image into your post 2. Select the URL with your mouse 3. Then click the Insert Image icon and the Insert Image button Hope that helps!

I had a look at the new individual film boards and realised I don't actually miss them.

You can't even edit your old Lists there... I've tried. That says it all. Discussion there was way too much outside the individual film pages... a reason I'm still at this site is a topic doesn't vanish 17 pages after 40 seconds.

I kinda do. I really like it here, but I do miss going to a message board for a movie/TV show and discuss about the movie/TV show on that particular board. What about everyone else? Exactly this, but I love it here.

Yes. I miss the individual message boards for films very much. It was great to find people who liked the same film as I did, or disliked the same one.

Yes. I miss the individual message boards for films very much. It was great to find people who liked the same film as I did, or disliked the same one. ok but u can still access the individual message boards via imdb. just scroll to the bottom of an individual movie/actor/filmmaker/tv show page. to show u, i went on imdb's page for The Godfather and this is what i got: ![https://i.ibb.co/Y8MRW61/2021-04-18-10.png](https://i.ibb.co/Y8MRW61/2021-04-18-10.png) just click on a thread under "Message Boards > Latest Posts" and u will get this: ![https://i.ibb.co/6gC6kJc/2021-04-18-11.png](https://i.ibb.co/6gC6kJc/2021-04-18-11.png) then click on the name of the movie or person on the upper left side to access the individual message board for the film and there u go: www.filmboards.com/board/10068646/that page (Filmboards) has nearly all individual message boards of imdb archived (all the ones that were available towards the end anyway, at the moment of the shutdown) and attached to their message board system with posts and threads going back as far as 18 years and can be viewed in their classic design (as u can see above). it's also possible to still reply to all those old threads, such as this one made in October, 2016: www.filmboards.com/board/t/Couldnt-Michael-still-run-for-senator-or-governor-after-becoming-don%3F-1666559/so, just fyi, all those individual imdb message boards are not lost at all and still accessible. vishspal sdrew13163 novastar6 ck100 politicidal @thegodfatherpartii Utpe phantomparticle CrepedCrusader GiantFan1980 darkreviewer2013 marth louise
