1. DS9
2. TNG
3. Voyager
4. Enterprise
5. Picard
6. Discovery
I will not rank the original series because a)I am not even sure I watched the whole thing - I used to watch it in syndication when I was in my early teens, but that was long before easily-accessible episode guides on the Internet; and b)I find it too dated. As much as I loved it at the time I first watched it, nowadays I can barely watch an entire episode.

I've only seen bits and pieces of the older series. I am interested in checking on the newer ones though. I know the core Star Trek fans don't really like them, but It doesn't seem like that is because they are necessarily bad. They just sounds different than the series that came before.
1. TOS - without the original series there would be no Star Trek . Very outdated but still good drama . 2. Enterprise - my personal choice . Delves into the origins of the United Federation and Starfleet . Great Crew and Adventures . 3. Next Gen - the start of the great Starfleet story , looking closely at Starfleet members . 4. Deep Space Nine - what a great episodic series this is , set around a flashpoint on the Federation border with only a few key Starfleet Officers and a roiling mess of cultural and racial conflict . 5. Voyager - a prototype starship and crew caught in a wormhole accident are transported across the galaxy and try to make their way home . The Captain and Crew are the standouts in this show . 6. Picard - Dystopic Star Trek - a disgraced Starfleet Admiral is called upon to save the Federation . 7. Discovery - similar to Picard . A disgraced Officer is called upon to prevent the destruction of the Federation . I'm not following , but Sonequa Martin-Green is a capable actress .
8. The Animated Series - the follow-on from TOS and expands on it . 9. Lower Decks - animated series is funny , fast and flashy .
I've only seen the first three episodes of Discovery and the first season of Picard. I was not impressed with Discovery, but thought Picard was pretty good.
P.S. I encourage all fans of the Star Trek franchise to check out the IMDB v2.1 Movie Quotes board, where we have "trekked" nearly 390 films to date.

I liked Picard Season 1 well enough, and large numbers of actors/characters from earlier Trek series appear, including Riker, Troi, Data, Seven of Nine, and even minor characters like Hugh.
7. Discovery - similar to Picard . A disgraced Officer is called upon to prevent the destruction of the Federation . I'm not following , but Sonequa Martin-Green is a capable actress .
Not in "Discovery" she isn't! She is always crying and making strange pained faces, and half of the time she says her lines in this perplexing and incredibly annoying "whispering" manner - and the character is supposed to have been raised by Vulcans!

Well I think this shows what is wrong with Discovery . I don't think it's the actresses fault . It's the Studio Producers , who are saying 'We are going to make Star Trek Bigger and Better than it's ever been ! We're reinventing the Star Trek Franchise for the next Generation ! All the Characters will be more Accessible and Colorful ! There will be more Action ! No One wants serious thought , so all the new Shows will definitely be open to everyone and will Fly!'
Getting to Season 2 of Discovery , I just couldn't watch any more . Even with Picard , I felt old . I've put them on the shelf , and maybe I will take a peek in a few years time . I hope the new generation enjoys them though .
The Expanse is a heavy space drama that is very good , but generally I prefer lighter sci-fi .
Defiance is very good . The SFX occasionally is slightly dodgy , but the drama is really good . Pandora was made with 1/3 the budget of the latest Star Trek shows , but you can feel and see the heart in this show . I'm getting the Boxset when it's available . So much fun in this ! The Orville . Season 3 should be out soon , and apparently it's going to be good . Avenue 5 is just a very enjoyable sendup of a space disaster movie . Space Force , not quite sci-fi , but an enjoyable lite comedy .
1. Star Trek 2. DS9 3. Enterprise 4. Voyager 5. The Next Generation 6. The Animated Series 7. Discovery (only saw seasons 1 and 2)
Haven't seen Picard or Lower Decks.
Not a big fan of TNG?

I am leaning towards not watching the current Star trek.

Jayman , are you familiar with The Animated Series? (TAS). I got the DVDs fairly recently and rewatched the whole thing. It has (almost) the entire TOS cast, many returning TOS writers, and D.C. Fontana is back as story editor. Furthermore, there are numerous TAS episodes that are direct and indirect sequels to TOS episodes. It really does play like a fourth season of TOS.

oh yeah I enjoyed the animated series. I haven’t watched it in awhile. I have the discs of it

I figured a big TOS fan like yourself would at least have heard of TAS. It was a pleasure to revisit it, and it's certainly helped me over on the IMDB v2.1 Movie Quotes board. For example in the Alien (1979) quote thread:

Dallas: Ash, can you see this? Ash: Yes, I can. I've never seen anything like it.

Although the animation is in Filmation's limited style, the writing impressed me. I'd say the overall quality of the scripts in TAS exceeded that in Season 3 of TOS.
