The final is on now.
Selby looking good unless Murphy can rattle off the next couple of frames.
Anyway, the BBC better be playing the usual "Memories" segment soon, as always featuring Dennis Taylor's wagging finger.

Murphy did fight back winning 3 frames on the spin but then bravely took on a very difficult red where a safety shot may have been the wiser play. That left Selby with a far from easy chance to wrap things up which he took with some aplomb

... but then bravely took on a very difficult red where a safety shot may have been the wiser play. Yeah, that seemed a crazy risk to take. Then again he'd just hit two century breaks in a row, so I guess his confidence was up but that was an incredibly difficult chance. He was a bit unlucky with white in offs earlier in the session as well.

Yeah. All the flukes went Selby's way

Worth watching if they ever show it again (during the next fortnight maybe I guess) or if it's on the iPlayer. Was played mostly for laughs but the Steve Davis Hurricane Higgins rivalry and the fall of Higgins was pretty well done. Unavailable at the moment: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03bv0t5 Not a dramatisation but the BBC has just added a new documentary series basically about the same era:- www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m000w0pv/gods-of-snookerFirst one was pretty good. Focuses on Hurricane Higgins. Pretty funny to watch some of the shots they used to go for after watching this year's World Championships.
