My mom once came to my room to tell me to change the TV channel so I could have a gander at some amazing hot guy she saw. It was Daniel Day Lewis. She was in her 60's then, me in my 30's. It was surreal.
She also loved Colin Firth, Fred Ward and Clark Gable.

Of those, she likes Elvis Presley the most. She used to like Johnny Depp before he became a bastard.

As Franchot Tone is the only one listed who was living before my mother died (1947) I guess I'd have to plump for him, although it's doubtful she would have even heard of him. I'm 78.

None of the above, as far as I can tell.
I do know she liked Roger Moore, Jon Pertwee and Burt Reynolds.
