Yep. He's a tad too old now. What about Aidan Turner? For the past 5-6 years I'd heard quite a bit of buzz about the Irish actor in Bond Fan circles... and after recently watching the series POLDARK (which my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed), I believe he'd make a pretty good choice. (And he's younger than Evans.)

Luke Evans will turn 42 this year. If they don’t get around to the next Bond film until 2025, say, he will be 46. Idris Elba, another frequently mentioned successor, would be 53.
Connery was 32 for his first Bond “Doctor No” and 41 for his last. Daniel Craig was 38 when “Casino Royale” was released. He is now 52 but then he is playing an older and more battle scarred Bond which is age appropriate.
So, whether Evans will be too old is really up in the air. He may have other things against his casting like he is practically an unknown while producers may want a “name.” I personally have never heard of him and don’t know a thing about him so can’t judge his appropriateness at this time.

Some may consider my choice too old but I think Michael Fassbender would be a superb 007.

But if i where to pick an actor for Bond i think Henry Cavill would be a good Bond. But one actor i think would be very good if he had been a 5-10 years younger is Damian Lewis

Dan Stevens, Sope Disiru, Rege Jean Page, and Richard Madden would all make great bonds.

They are going to pick someone who will further their anti-masculinity agenda.
Fleming said James Bond wasn't supposed to be a successful knight errant type of character but the public accepted Bond as that--that's why the movies took off and Connery remains the number one pick. It has wide appeal--they certainly can make money from that idealized fantasy image but they won't. To them, the important thing is to combat "toxic masculinity."
There's a series that is DOA. James Bond. It has outlived its shelf life. When it premiered there were no rival big budget action spy movies--and for decades there weren't any--but now? With CGI? Everything is copying James Bond stunts.

He should support world revolution instead of seeking to play imperialist stooge Bond in western propaganda films.
