NBC TV personality Kristen Welker announced that she and her husband are awaiting a baby via surrogate mother.
The whole gang of dimwits on the morning show weeps and goes crazy. Then chief toadie Samantha Guthrie says, through tears and I ain’t shitting ya, that Kristen is a hero. She’s a hero because she can afford to pay a surrogate to gestate her harvested eggs. Also she waited until she was in her forties to try to conceive. WHERE’S HER MEDAL?

Mother Theresa, Princess Diana, Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir, and now Kristen Welker.

Lol. I agree with you. There's nothing heroic about using some other woman's body as a breeding machine.
It would have been heroic if she had adopted an older or handicapped child and gave them a home.
But this vain creep insists on exploiting some other woman's poverty by turning her into a baby machine.
I feel the same way about gay male couples who use surrogate mothers to make dolls for themselves. I cannot hide my contempt.

So much bravery. I hope our military saw this to be inspired.
Also, LOL to starting child rearing in your 40's. I'm sure she can afford a nanny though.

As someone who has been through the IVF process numerous times (of course I had the easier role) I know the many physical and emotional hits that can occur just to see it fail. I don’t know her personal story (in fact I don’t even know who she is) but I’m relatively happy for her even though she’s certainly not a hero.
