Film, or something on youtube? I sometimes will listen to a talk by Ajahn Brahm on youtube, or one of the other monks. I wouldn't say I'm Buddhist, I just find the Dhamma talks helpful. Or Disney. Do you have a go to for the blues?

Studio Ghibli is a go to for me. I also love getting lost on old movies, anything with Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, or Audrey Hepburn. Those films are like a time machine, taking me back to when things were simpler. I also like animal documentaries.

Depends on the type of “blue” I’m feeling. Sometimes good old escapism is good enough no matter the movie or show. Recently I’ve been feeling down and watching old classics like Chinatown and Casablanca had helped.
Sometimes watching something where the character is struggling against extreme adversity can be cathartic. When I broke up with my girlfriend in college I stayed up late every night watching season two of 24- a very dark season where Jack is dealing with grief and trauma as well as a constant threat of death by nuke which makes every episode intensely gloomy. Somehow that kind of thing can provide the perfect escapism when you feel really down.

Thanks Spitfire: Old movies for sure, for the most part they feel safe and beautiful to watch. I love the animal documentaries too, I just turn it off before the end though "Man is the worst predator"

It was cute and no animals die, except the fish they eat.

A little different, but regarding adversity, I've always been fascinated by docs about people climbing Mount Everest. I become so grateful just to be home.

When I get sick of people around me I watch rotoscope or motion capture films. They don't look like real people so it's somehow therapeutic.

Cat videos and silly mandopop. Of course, Catman would love cat videos, goes without saying There's also a few talking dogs on youtube that can put a smile on your face like Pluto for instance. Or maybe you're just loyal to kitties ty

Nothing, really. When I was a teenager, Whose Line is it Anyway (with Drew Carey, back when it was GOOD!) would come on at 10 PM and it helped me get through a very rough patch when a neighbor died.
I guess another good one would be The Real Ghostbusters, just thinking about it and how happy it made me feel 10 years ago when I first got the DVD and watched it every day, really perked me up the other day when I was feeling really burnt out by everything.
