Strong concept about a top cheerleader and star quarterback imagined with a gothic horror fantasy twist. Great animation and use of muted pastel shades.

I like it. I bought a copy years ago. I have mixed feelings on Plympton's features overall. I like this, The Tune, and I Married a Strange Person and most of the rest I don't care for very much sadly.

Oh, cool. I'm new to the world of Plymptoons but really enjoyed 'Hair High' and would like to pick it up on dvd if it's affordable. Think I'll look out for 'I Married A Strange Person!' (1997) next, based on the title alone - it has a distinct 1950s sci-fi-fantasy-horror vibe and I'm a big horror movie fan, thanks for the recommendation.

I just finished watching 'I Married A Strange Person!' on youtube and really enjoyed it. I think I'm going to like more Plymptoons when I see them as I really like the themes explored in these movies and the animation style. Also, the music. I have actually seen some of Bill Plympton's short films too; one that I've always remembered since seeing it is '25 Ways To Quit Smoking'.

Glad that you liked that movie. The Tune is good too in my opinion. It meanders a bit but makes up for it in creativity.
