I think it's normal to try and figure out if you guys have the same life goals. Children can be a deal breaker either way.

The latest guy to ask me this is another student from my school whom I met in a Russian speakers' club (i.e. a group chat). He knows I have a boyfriend. Another (Russian) guy I met 2 years ago at a right-wing political meeting asked me the same thing, and this guy voted for that party too, and their voices and accents even sound the same. It's like deja vu!
