The Incredible Hulk. I mean every other solo MCU movie got a sequel. I know it had mixed reactions but people loved Hulk in the Avengers and Thor movies. Just surprised they never tried again. They never tried again because of some rather convoluted contract issues with Universal.

Actually, there was a script written for a sequel... In my opinion, it sounds bad... Perhaps would should be thankful, that the movie was not made. Yeah I know, I've read the treatment for it. I'm really grateful that cooler heads prevailed and it didn't go into production.

Master & Commander: Far Side of the World That movie was considered a financial disappointment. They were hoping for numbers like Gladiator but it fell short of expectations.
I remember reading, that a sequel would've been cheaper to produce, because they could've re-used some of the expensive sets from the first one, but sadly the ships got dismantled and the last time I heard they were planning a TV series which obviuosly wouldn't feature the original cast.

That ET proposed sequel sounds pretty horrible. I’m guessing it would have been darker than the first one. Would have made for an easy cash grab though with all the expected merchandising. Atari could have made another 10 million cartridges and added them to the ones from the first film that they buried in a landfill.

I liked The Incredible Hulk too. I don't think Norton is ideal casting, Tim Roth seemed disinterested and the Abomination was boring-looking but I liked it better than the other MCU movies and way more than the 2003 film. Tim Blake Nelson--while I can't picture him as the Leader I did like his role in it. Also there's Paul Soles--the cartoon Spider-man voice-especially considering what happened to his character in The Score--it felt like a epilogue between him and Norton. And Bill Bixby appears too.
I don't know why they don't do another Hulk movie--the tv series proved you could come up with any type of story using the characters.

Rogue Two about capturing the plans for the second Death Star, and of course Rogue Three about capturing the plans for Starkiller Base.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The right time to strike would have been right after Space Jam (yes that piece of shit did make money), Bob Hoskin was still alive, and Zemmeckis wasn't a washed up has been.

Wasn't there some kind of rumours, circulating, some years ago. That one of the writers of Commando, mentioned something of, that either Die Hard or Die Hard 2, was among the many potential could-have beens, when it came to follow ups/sequels to Commando? I guess, that sure went through some drastic changes, but at least Die Hard 2, did mention Val Verde at some point.

Something along the lines of a planned sequel to Commando that was eventually rewritten to become Die Hard, or the planned sequel was cancelled (possibly because Arnie was not interested in it?) and studio did Die Hard instead.

Why Me? with Christopher Lambert and Christopher Lloyd, not a very popular movie but it pissed me off since the ending scene certainly hinted at it.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The right time to strike would have been right after Space Jam (yes that piece of shit did make money), Bob Hoskin was still alive, and Zemmeckis wasn't a washed up has been. They did short sequels in the form of those theatrical cartoons plus the Earth Day special 1990 had Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, even ET was in it.
The original came when old-fashioned animation was getting a revival--but computer graphics stole the thunder. The Mask especially.
The focus shifted to computer graphics. The novelty of seeing cartoon characters in the same shot with a live action person and shadows etc added to the character--it wore off as soon as computer graphics came along. They didnt use any computer graphics on the original film. It was all hand-drawn and optical printing fx.
There is a shot where he grabs Roger Rabbit in the street by a car-and you can see the reflections of the toon character on the car itself--they added the reflections.
I think Zemeckis wanted to play around with computer graphics instead.
He told someone I know who worked with him on Polar Express etc that he wanted to be the Walt Disney of Motion Capture.
