Yes, another thread to fawn over this glorious classic. One of those movies that formed the bedrock for my love of cinema. The future war sequence is still fucking awesome and no sequel has yet to surpass it. Visual effects that still hold up quite well, Arnold shotgun twirling, and Linda Hamilton kicking ass. Like James Cameron did with Aliens five years prior, the last act is a prolonged action sequence that never lacks for excitement (coincidentally, both sequels arrived seven years after the original). If I take any issue with the movie, the desert scenes bring it to a crawl. Apparently, Arnold being a good Terminator was meant to be a surprise. I only saw the original film years later so that effect was lost on me. This is also probably the first R-Rated movie I saw.

7.5/10. I really enjoy it but can't say I love it dearly. Nevertheless it's my favorite one in the series and we rarely see big grand R rated action scenes shot with that same intensity anymore. I think Mad Max: Fury Road comes close.

A fantastic film. Easy to watch start to finish. Up until a few years ago I always considered it the best Terminator film. But lately I’ve taken a greater liking to the grittier first film. Still tho easily one of the best sequels and action films of all time.

That was actually pretty good. Back before the Wachowskis lost their minds with Speed Racer and Jupiter Ascending.

Boy, now it's all coming back to me. I'll also give credit when it's due to the crane truck/fire engine chase from T3: Rise of the Machines. It kind of makes me wonder what happened to Jonathan Mostow as a director.

Has been one of my favorite movie since I was 12 years old.
One of the few movies I have watched more than 10 times.

Always found it to be overrated, but only because of the obnoxious characters. The action is great.

3rd for me, unless you count edited R-rated movies on TV. Predator and The Terminator were the first 2 R-rated movies I was allowed to watch. Terminator 2 is one of the movies that formed my love of movies as well. I could talk about the movie all day. T-1000 is my second favorite movie villain of all-time.

I think the first time I saw T2 was on the ABC network in the '90s.
