Excellent movie. The effects really hold up and the film is just badass and a lot of fun.

The ending is perfect and should have stopped there.

The ending is perfect and should have stopped there. I think people said the same thing about Cameron's other movie sequel "Aliens".

I own & enjoy the Special Edition with Michael Biehn. As one who prefers T1, that scene was most welcome gravitas.
The helicopter chase sequence might be the craziest ever.

7.5/10. I really enjoy it but can't say I love it dearly. Nevertheless it's my favorite one in the series and we rarely see big grand R rated action scenes shot with that same intensity anymore. I think Mad Max: Fury Road comes close. Yeah, these days PG-13 movies have more intense action scenes than R-rated movies. For intense action scenes in modern R-Rated movies, the John Wick trilogy is damn near mesmerizing.

John Wick 3, yes. The first 2, no.

Correct. The John Wick films have some of the best action of all time, IMO. So badass and fun.

When it premiered they interviewed James Caan outside the theater. He was amazed by the FX. But someone else said it was too kid-friendly. The Sarah Connor narration about parenting and how this terminator was a better father is hilariously shoe-horned in political statement. It is too bad the surprise was ruined. They decided not to keep it a secret before the release. Maybe they were afraid it would affect the opening day returns. But by then Arnie was only doing good guys. I was disappointed in the film because I just assumed the endoskeleton would appear at the end in the steel mill because of this comic book cover which came out before the movie: www.milehighcomics.com/cgi-bin/backissue.cgi?action=fullsize&issue=86308015960%204A stop-motion endoskeleton vs CGI metal blob man. And that cover has nothing to do with the comic book contents. Did someone know what was being filmed or did they just happen to think it was a cool image.

I think people said the same thing about Cameron's other movie sequel "Aliens". And they were right. I think it's had a bit of a revival recently anyway, but I enjoy Alien 3. I've only ever seen the Assembly Cut I suppose, but I think it's a good movie.

Well I'll say this, it put David Fincher on the map. Even by his standards, ALIEN3 is one seriously downbeat movie. It had plenty of behind-the-scenes drama yet the final product is still especially joyless.

I like Alien 3 even though the franchise really should have ended with Aliens.

While that was funny one of my favourite part is this.
The slow motion, the angles, the music and the way she kinda "back pedals" while somewhat slipping on the floor is still one of the best way one character's worst nightmare was shown (the first 30 seconds):

Watching it tonight, I forgot John Connor is supposed to be 10 years old. For a film with cyborgs and time-travel, this is just as unbelievable. I like the little details like the dog barking in the background when T-1000 first visits John’s foster parents.
