Commissioner keeps saying that they are going to wait until the A’s and Rays are settled. But that could be another seven years. We basically know that the Rays are done in Tampa and the A’s will probably stay. Just expand already! The league would profit greatly, the schedules will be easier to plan and two new cities will have baseball!
Las Vegas and Portland. Then the Rays can move to Montreal.

The league is diluted enough. If anything they should contract.

The league is diluted enough. If anything they should contract. Not in favor of contraction but no fucking way does the league need two more teams. MLB's starting pitching is so weak now, the last thing it needs is to fill 10 more rotations spots.
Portland couldn't keep a AAA team and they have no ballpark.
The Athletics should move tomorrow. How many future ballparks have fallen through, 50, 100? Enough is enough. And the Rays signed a stadium lease of the Trop that ties them to the place until the 31st Century. They aren't going anywhere

They would lose ( what little ) leverage they have to hold cities and states hostage for brand new ( and free ) multi-billion dollar stadiums ( in NFL like fashion )

10 more teams! 10 more teams!
Seriously though, it's going to happen to some degree at some point. No sense worrying about it.

I’ve been down there numerous times. Really good microbreweries. And all the streets are Simpsons character names!

Hopefully they can use that leverage on Tampa soon. Their owner is still clinging to that two city solution.

It might be a lousy idea to ask voters for a tax increase to foot the bill for a ballpark after everything that's happened the last year.

Normal cities don’t have riots every night for three months straight. Maybe bring a team to Indy or Nashville.

Montreal needs a new stadium first before they get a team back there. And they're running out of prime real estate at that. Their 90's targeted land is taken now.

what do you think of possibly moving A's unto Sacramento perhaps. No ballpark there either. The AAA park is relatively new by only seats 10,000.
Once again, it's going to be difficult to get a ballpark built after everything this past year. A lot of people aren't sports fans and see stadiums as a colossal waste of taxpayer cash.
It's a damn shame Oakland can't get a park built. The A's fan base is cool. The fans on the outfield bleachers look like an European football game.
