Cabellos off for stamping. Deliberate or accidental, ref no choice. Nothing's going right for Arsenal. Has Arteta made any changes? No, I don't think he has.

Well, Unai Emery on the touchline in his suit and well-oiled hair, said before kick-off : "Arteta and Arsenal are a perfect marriage. He’s a great manager. You can see a clear identity, a clear strategy." But not tonight, so far.

Saka exposes himself in the box and is molested by Trigures. Pepe blasts the resultant penalty down the middle and it scrapes in for 2-1. There's hope yet.

Capoue goes in with a two-footed slider on Saka but comes off worse. He's lying on his back, twisted something maybe. The ref, card in hand, hovers over him. Capoue knows what's coming and is in no hurry to get up. When he finally does get stretchered he's shown red. Now an opportunity presents itself to the visitors, surely.

No idea how we've still got a chance in this tie. Were absolutely shocking for the majority of the game. I haven't criticised Arteta before as I believe his job is harder than most Arsenal fans believe. That squad is full of shite. However, that result is in spite of rather than because of him. The team selection in this game was horrendous from the get go. Experimenting with ESR as a take on a false 9 in a semi-final? Continuing with Xhaka at LB and Ceballos in CM? And that was for starters. We're all looking at Ceballos getting ahead of the ball constantly and leaving Partey alone when we lose it. He inevitably ends up with an early yellow and Arteta leaves him on at HT? He was a nailed on red. How can Arteta not see that?
Anyhoo, still somehow in the tie but looking at Man U in the other game we'll be battered in the final if we get there. As usual with Arsenal (and I don't know how many time I've said that on here but) it's the hope that kills ya.
