Van Johnson, Spencer Tracy
I would have preferred seeing much more screen time for Tracy than Johnson, but that wasn't what the story was about.
Stirring scenes of early bombers training & takeoffs from aircraft carrier, as well as of the flight to the bombing targets. But overly sappy backstories about the pilots' home lives and their recreational activities prior to being sent on their mission.
