My prediction:
Justin Fields
The “epilepsy” diagnosis aside.
I’ve seen him against elite defenses and he crumbles under pressure. Hell, middle of the pack Big 10 defenses figured him out last year and he looked lost.
He will be Troy Smith 2.0
He takes too long to make a decision and the NFL defenses will bury him. I guess going to a defensive organization like the Bears that focuses on the run game and chewing the clock was probably for the best. That’s his best opportunity to succeed. But still, he won’t be a factor for them winning.

Zach. Going to a perpetually disfunctional organization, tough media market, will be running for his life, and is injury prone.

Agreed about not trusting Fields, I was never all that impressed with him in college. Also Trey Lance, I’m not sure if he’s very good, he only started 16 games in college and I think he will sit behind Jimmy G at least to start the year, but I’m not sold on him.

Mac Jones. Alabama QB's have not exactly set the NFL on fire (jury still out on Tua and "Hurtsy"}. There's no Jalen Waddle or DeVonta Smith in New England. And he's not Tom Brady. It takes a long time to replace a legendary QB. Bills from Kelly to Allen is a good example. Maybe it will be a seamless transition, like Montana to Young. But I doubt it. It will be a huge benefit to Jones if he rides the bench all year, but the fans will scream for Mac after Scam Newton's 2nd pick.

Gee, if treefrog was here, I wonder who he would say?
Did his mother ground him from the internet?

Y'all talking about first round picks!? Yeah, 1st round. But if you want to add a 2nd round bust you can. But the lower you pick someone, the less of a risk or bust they are.

Mac Jones would have benefited greatly being behind Brady for 3 years or something first. It would benefit many QB's to sit for a year. Look at Aaron Rodgers. He sunk if the draft because of the knock on Jeff Tedford coached QB's. Akili Smith, Kyle Boller, Joey Harrington, Trent Dilfer. Two years out of the spotlight, watching Brett Favre certainly helped. Patrick Mahomes is anther example. He could sit for a year behind Scam, if newton does well. Big if

Do they bust or will their franchise fail them => Burrows/Bengals.
Mac Jones. He is not a very versatile QB and I'm not sure if Belichick can create a working system around this kid. I guess no first round pick QB is this dependent on the system, the other players, and last but not least on his new coach.
But I'm still looking forward to the situation. Overall one can't say the Pats didn't try.
PS: How can he learn that much from Newton, if he is a complete different type of QB.

I predict the Bucs pick of Mr. Irrelevant will be a bust at being irrelevant.

Trey Lance. I haven't seen much but what I have seen he doesn't throw the ball very well. Can't spin it.

The Bears have never had a truly great QB so logic tells me Fields will be a bust.

Trey Lance. I haven't seen much but what I have seen he doesn't throw the ball very well. Can't spin it. From what little I’ve seen of Lance, he reminds me of Josh Allen. Accuracy stinks and the level of competition are the two black marks coming out of college . Will they set him for a year or throw him into the starting job now?
