Colts or Bears, this year, in June.
The cap hit won't be that gruesome anymore, and they can at least salvage some draft picks out of this situation. Bears is a direct opponent, yes, but they Favre played for the Vikings, and the draft picks would weaken them in the future. The Bears have a team good enough to make it to the playoffs, even with a QB named Trubisky, but Rodgers would be an instant solution to this major issue, while Fields could watch and learn and get some snaps. Dalton and this other guy, you know, former Egales player iirc, not Wentz, can be traded.
The Colts are the most complete NFL team without a proper QB. My very own opinion. Before Stafford it were the Rams.

Heard this same thing about Russ Wilson Heard this same thing about DeShaun Watson
Not buying it, although I do wonder about the Broncos drafting Patrick Surtain II. They spent a lot of money upgrading their corners. Is it a "best player available" or did they draft Surtain for Green Bay?

They won't mortgage their future for a 37 year old QB, not while they have other options. And the Rams don't have a first round pick until the 31st Century.
Like I said, I'm not buying it. Aaron and GB management will have a sit down, management will give Aaron a cookie or two and they'll iron everything out. Rodgers has said many times he wants to be a Green Bay icon. Becoming Brett Favre II won't do that. If it DOES go down, I'll will believe the scuttlebutt and say Denver or Las Vegas. Vegas could trade Carr, giving GB a bridge to Jordan Love. Denver has a better team, better targets for Aaron.

I doubt that he will cost that much due to his age, and the pressure they are facing. If they don't trade him and he retires, they have a huge dead cap, and not a single draft pick. www.acmepackingcompany.com/by-the-numbers/2020/5/5/21248007/calculating-the-packers-salary-cap-impacts-and-deadlines-in-aaron-rodgers-contract

Before Stafford it were the Rams. Watson has become too risky due to his legal issues, hence not comparable to Rodgers, and Wilson never said he will never ever again play for Seattle. He was/is not happy, but not disgruntled to a degree like Rodgers who was back-stapped over and over again by the Packers. Nine of the last ten first round picks were for the defense, and the only one, last season, which was for the offense was his replacement. Jordan Love's draft was the last straw on the camel's back. This is not about money or the career. Unlike Watson he is a future hall of famer with a ring, and he might have had a second one if the packers hadn't betrayed him and drafted an elite receiver. Watson has neither savings and side incomes of Rodgers, nor a ring, or a hall of fame career, but he is young and has his best years ahead of him. But by now the rape accusation are stalling him.

Stafford cost the Rams two first and a third. Trey Lance cost the Niners three #1's and a 3rd. Granted, he's no spring chicken, but he is the reining MVP and he's played 15-16 games a season every year but two from 2008 to 2020. He's guaranteed to light up talk radio, to pus asses in seats and could be worth a Super Bowl to the right team (remember Peyton?). And he has $0 in guaranteed money on his contract. He won't come cheap.

If they ask too much, then retirement it is, he won't come back. He holds a deep grudge, unlike Wilson, who is more an easy going character, not as dark and gloomy as Rodgers can be. If he is even unforgiving towards his own family, what makes you think he will forgive the Packers? Again: it is not about money. Even little monkeys go full berserk if they feel betrayed. If he isn't traded, then he will retire. And in this case the Packers got how money picks? I guess Rodgers sleeps why better than Gutekunst or Jordan Love. If the latter is the starting QB and turns out to be a bust while also being the major and final reason to have lost the MVP...

I still wonder why this came up on Draft Day. One year since Jordan Love was drafted. Four months after the playoff debacle. If he has been grumpy for a year or four months, he hid it well.

Who the fuck knows if this is true(?), but the rumor is that he just recently found out that they were entertaining trade offers this off season without consulting him, so that was kinda the last straw.

Itβd be great if he went to the AFC to give other teams in the NFC North a prayer at winning the division.
