I can't predict that, as I can't evaluate best/worst, until I can see them in retrospect. (There you go, Divtal. Complicate the issue.  ) Statistically, fewer days are ahead of me, given that I'm in a "leadership" position of the Baby-Boom generation. But ... today was pretty good! |

I’d like to have better days ahead, and that starts with telling myself my best days are behind me. Low expectations leads to better outcomes.

I had an idea that when someone dies a horrible death in a story their last words should be THIS IS THE WORST DAY OF MY ENTIRE LIFE! and jotted the words down on a piece of paper. My sister found the piece of paper later that day and I received a concerned phone call.

I'd have to say that both my best and my worst days are behind me. The future will probably not be nearly as extreme one way or the other. I made a bucket list years ago, and I've methodically been checking items off the list. At this point, there are so few items left that I'm reluctant to do them, just so I still have something to look forward to. I'm kind of struggling with my post-bucket list life. It's a strange thing to run out of dreams.
