...NOT have a bad reaction? My mom just had a sore arm after her second shot. My dad had fatigue and chills and was pretty much knocked out for a day. Every story on the internet seems to be in the vain of "the second shot kicked my ass". (Perhaps is self-selection bias -- people who have bad experiences are more likely to post about it). I'm getting my second shot on the 12th and starting to get a bit nervous with all the bad experiences I'm reading.

I was tired and had the sweats with a slightly elevated temperature for a couple days. Then I threw up on the third day. After that, nothing of note. I know one person who didn't have as much of a reaction but it's too late in the day to ask them which vaccine they took, the Pfizer or the Moderna.

I had the second Moderna shot and had a slight fever for a day. But it burned off and I feel great now!

When I had my second Moderna shot, I had pretty much the same symptoms I had the first time: brief, low-grade fever (just shy of 100 degrees); slight headache; soreness in and around the injection site; some fatigue. Oh, I just remembered one symptom I had the first time that I didn't have the second: nausea. Even when I had it, it never escalated into throwing up. So, on the whole, I think I was pretty lucky. Hope everything goes well for you, CC. One thing that helped me when my arm was at its sorest: I kept repeating (like a mantra), "At least it's better than getting COVID."  |

I'm getting my second shot on the 12th and starting to get a bit nervous with all the bad experiences I'm reading. My doctor told me I was lucky to have gotten Pfizer. He said there were more complaints about Moderna as far as feeling sick after the second shot. Two people close to me got Pfizer as well. After the second shot, one didn't get sick at all, one got VERY sick for about a week, and I had a slight fever for few hours the next day. Results seem to vary no matter which one you get, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Crepe, I guess it depends on how one defines a "bad" reaction.
Yes, my vaccine was from Moderna.
After the first shot, I was sleepy, for the day. And, had little reaction, beyond that.
After the second shot, I was fine for the rest of THAT day. On the second day, I felt "fluish," and had a tenderness on my upper arm. (Aw, poor baby.)
I'm very fortunate that I didn't feel "Covidish!"
This nonsense of fearing A Reaction, makes no sense to me.

I got my second Moderna shot a few days ago, and I haven't had any noticable side effects yet. My arm was more sore after my first shot, because the nurse jabbed it into my muscle, and that was not pleasant. I also had a headache about 5 days after the first Moderna, and we'll see if it returns. I might have slight fatigue, but nothing major. I don't think I have a fever, but I can't check anyway, because I don't own a thermometer. I should probably buy one someday...

Everyone I know had a reaction to the second shot (not sure what brand).
Everything from mild body aches to bedridden nausea.
I haven’t gotten any of them yet. I’m going on vacation in a few weeks and didn’t want to risk being sick for it.

I got my second Moderna shot today and have only a small bit of soreness in my arm that I barely notice. I even shot some hoops and didn't think about it a single time during. Of course I probably just jinxed it for tomorrow but we'll see.
