It looks very much like Sporting Lisbon will win the primeira Liga for the first time since 2001-02. And their 19 totalt Portuguese league title. Sporting only need to win one of the last 3 games. Sporting have not lost a single league game this season. Sporting are at the moment 8 points ahead of Porto. Benfica is number 3 and can still get second place.
If Sporting manages to go through the next 3 games without losing it will be the first time Sporting have done that. in its history.
Benfica and Porto have both gone through seasons without losing a league game. Benfica did it in 1972–73 and again in 1977–78 but in 77-78 Benfica did not win the league they got second place. behind Porto both teams got 61 points but Porto had a better goal difference. Porto only lost 1 game that season
Porto did not lose a league game in 2010–11 and 2012–13
Between 10 January 2010 and 30 November 2013 Porto only lost 1 game.
And yes i know the clubs actual name is Sporting CP
Anyway i have gone of topic. And i am calling it Sporting will win the Portuguese league this season.

Good. 19th title overall and first in 19 years. What a whacky era we're living in when Rangers winning the Scottish League and Sporting winning in Portugal both seem fresh and different...

You make it sound like it's a good thing that Ruben Amorim and Nuno Mendes will leave Portugal! It's not.

It hasn't hindered the national team having the best Portuguese players in the major European leagues, if anything, it has progressed the competitiveness of the squad no end.
