Can we not argue that 'The Process' was a success as it yielded us -
The most gifted big man of All-Time who is the MVP this year and is the most unstoppable force in the NBA
and
A Swiss Army Knife who is the Defensive Player of the Year this year and can play anywhere on the court 1-5 and thinks pass 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th who is a wizard with the ball in his hands in transition who is pretty much a maestro on the court conducting an orchestra?
With these 2 additions 'The Process' yielded us it in turned yielded a HOF coach to come here and also a HOF Exec to keep this ball rolling as we have become one of the most attractive destinations in the league?
Can we not argue that Stew? It's yielded you nothing. Every team out there has gotten a few good players in the draft, whether they were trying to lose or not. The Celtics were going to the playoffs and hoodwinked you bozos into taking Fultz instead of Tatum. When you win a title you can say the process accomplished something, and even then it won't be true. A bad team eventually won the title. Somebody does that every year, and they don't have to intentionally put their fans through hell to get there. HOF coach Doc Rivers states Ben Simmons is Magic v2.0
He must have been reading my posts for years

Yet no titles. isn't that what it's all about?
And I'm not touching the "most gifted big man of all-time" silliness
Who was/is more gifted than Jo-Jo?
I love Dream; however even Dream did not have the skillset of Jo-Jo

Does that 2.0 refer to his points per game? I know you're the biggest casual on here; and only root for Philly teams when they're good or bother to watch them when they're good - and pretty much just make snarky comments and hate on all of them since you're a bitter jaded person -
But after we win the title this year - there's no more room on our bandwagon

Got it.

The most dominant force in today's game who no man can stop
Also an elite defender who is the DPOY this year who can play anywhere on the court 1-5 and is a magician setting the table in transition looking to get all of his teammates involved
I've made this comparison before that Ben is a quasi/hybrid LeBron/Magic and wouldn't you know it - Doc agrees
Doc just came out and stated he was hoping fans/media would start looking at Ben like Earvin Johnson
That's Magic Johnson to you and me.
He's not even going to win MVP. You can make all the comparisons you want, the process has accomplished nothing thus far. You drafted good players (and some not so good) and now you're in the hunt for a title, just like a bunch of other teams that didn't deliberately tank for years.

I have no problem with Joker winning MVP this year
The difference is we drafted generational talents
A tandem of two
No other team can state that
We've set the table for years of dominance to come
Let's remember - this isn't a finished product
After being hired Doc/Morey had a short offseason to work with the roster
Just wait until you see what next year brings....

Don't look now, but Jokic is putting up better stats in a tougher conference. And we've already had the Olajuwon debate. Dream was the centerpiece of back to back title teams, won an MVP and was 2x Finals MVP. He was better at what he did than Embiid is at what he does, because he dominated the game and won titles. Dominance isn't just about skillset, it's about how you affect the game.

Golden State can. And look at that, they've actually won something. They've won a lot, actually.

'All Around Skillset'
Jo-Jo can do it all
Even from outside
A much better FT% shooter and 3PT% shooter than Dream
That's what's scary about Jo-Jo - he can dominate everywhere

It's like you don't even read the other guy's posts in these conversations. I said it isn't about skillset. It's about how you affect the game. Jokic can do everything Embiid can, and then some. The eye test and the stats bear that out. Better FT% and 3pt% too. Whatever stat based or skillset based argument you're using against Olajuwon blows up in your face when you apply it to Jokic vs. Embiid.

The greatest big man ever to play the game? MVP? The new Magic Johnson? Sounds like it should be easy.
Only thing is, winning an NBA title is hard, very hard. I don't think Embid understands just how hard it is.
From the East, Philly, Brooklyn, Milwaukee and Miami all have a chance to me. It's going to be a war.
Then, in the final, they get the best of the West. Should be fun.

How can that be true if Jokic is doing more to help his team win in a tougher conference? Jokic is doing everything Embiid is doing, only better. He can score from anywhere, has a better % from deep as well as the line. Embiid has a few more PPG, but look at the disparity in assists. Jokic is responsible for more buckets per game than Embiid. By a lot.

Not this year
Yes - Joker is having a great year and I have no problem with him winning MVP this year
We shall see what happens
Did you know Jo-Jo was averaging more points than Joker this year? And yes - I know - it's not just about points
They are both having tremendous years
But overall careers thus far
It's Jo-Jo

You really don't read anyone's posts. Anyway, overall careers so far, I'd say Jokic. He's never played fewer than 69 games, Embiid has never played more than 64. Oof.

Better overall PPG and RPG - not even close
Joker more assits per game
FT%, FG% and 3PT% are similar although Joker has a slight advantage
It's Jo-Jo

The guy that's never available for his team is more valuable over the years than the other guy putting up comparable numbers against stiffer competition. Sure thing, boss.
