True, but imagine being a 16 seed every year and proudly declaring to anyone and everyone that your team is going to win this year. You can be loyal and hope that your teams will win, but there's nothing wrong with being a realist. I don't recall being a 16 seed every year
You were an unlikely-to-win underdog every year. Including this year.

You were an unlikely-to-win underdog every year. Including this year. I beg to differ
In fact - we were one of the 8 seeds years ago to beat a #1 seed - about a decade or so ago when we were #8 and beat the #1 seeded Bulls
I don't vibe with 'Unlikelys' in life.
That is a defeatist attitude

But don't you get more disappointed when you are sure the unlikely thing is going to happen and then it doesn't happen?

I mean, the phrase "so you're saying there's a chance" literally comes from the movie "Dumb and Dumber." I'll let you decide which one of those said it. It's like being down 11-1 in the 9th inning and expecting to win. Not hoping for a miracle, but expecting to win. Over and over again despite previous results.

And there it is. The #1 Seed in the Eastern Conference. From a 'Process' that was ridiculed, mocked, laughed at, put down and shamed by the Haters To the Top Seed in the Eastern Conference A visionary who had a master plan. A visionary who was able to think outside the box in order to achieve success. A visionary who was lambasted by the miserable, negative, bitter, jaded Haters in life who choose to focus on others and tear down others with their negativity and ugliness The #1 Seed in the Eastern Conference - The Philadelphia 76ers

You made a series of posts mocking the Philly soccer team for celebrating an accomplishment other than winning the title, yet it's all you ever do with the rest of the Philly teams. "And there it is, the #1 seed. Mission accomplished. Some players can only dream of getting the #1 seed, other players live the dream." You know you haven't actually won anything yet, right?

Apples and Oranges
The Union actually had a celebration on the field - and then embarrassingly and shamefully blasted the Philly fans questioning why they weren't in the same discussion as the Flyers, Phillies, Eagles and Sixers
And it's Soccer - in other words it's Darts and Midget Tossing - you would have thought they won the World Cup
Listen to this dope below. 'Trust Our Process'

No, it isn't. It's clownish to celebrate before you've accomplished anything, you look like an idiot.

The Process was all about putting them in position to be dominant for years
Which it has done

My intent isn't to offend anybody here Seems for years I've rubbed posters the wrong way for loving my teams This thread is for me and my favorite team It is a celebration of 'Me' and the Sixers - a love affair if you will It's for me to celebrate on our journey together I like to think I'm a pretty positive, upbeat, half glass full type of guy I'm excited, can you blame me?
It's the first time we've had the #1 Seed since 2001
Do you remember what happened that year?

You lost in the Finals. Nearly got swept. The next season you lost in the first round to the Celtics, as Pierce scored 46 in a deciding game five 33 point blowout.

Quite the contrary
We won the first game on the road and were up in the 2nd Game - I may be off but I think we were up by like 13 points in the 3rd Quarter about to go up 2-0 and then come home to Philly

Yeah. Losing 4-1 is almost getting swept.

You haven't rubbed anyone wrong for loving your teams. We just like to give you a hard time. It's against my personal beliefs to celebrate a non-accomplishment. I'm always confused when people buy 'Conference Championship' gear. Why not wait and see if your team wins the Super Bowl? Then you can either buy championship gear, or not have an embarrassing reminder of finishing second. There's a difference between being excited and naming your thread the 'Philadelphia 76ers 2020/21 Championship Thread' before the playoffs even start. Like I said, it's weird that you made fun of the soccer team for doing it while you do it for the Eagles and Sixers every year.

A shell of himself
Sixers got him to combat Shaq
One can argue even though Theo was going through injury issues - they should have held onto Ratliff

And for them to lump themselves in with the Flyers, Phillies, Eagles and Sixers - I found it offensive. Also the Sixers did not celebrate on court for getting the #1 seed as the Union did. I'm celebrating the Sixers.
I'm not that guy who celebrates Division Titles or even Conference Titles even though I greatly appreciate them
As far as me titling the thread - Championship Thread, et all
I predicted this and it broke just how I predicted it
Nets/Bucks in the Semis as they both beat each other up in a 7 Game Series and we're licking our chops awaiting the tired worn down winner
And Jo-Jo making it to the Finals?
I wouldn't bet against him.
He's the most dominant force in the NBA and nobody can stop him
We shall see what happens; however I'm predicting a title
