Granted I don't think IM2 is bad, just inconsequential and kinda forgettable. Thor 2 would be next for least favourite. Iron Man 2 isn't my least favourite MCU movie (it's third worst overall for me), but it's definitely not very good. Too much going on. Plot threads meandering all over the place. There's no real cohesiveness. Just a messy script. And stuffing it full of Avengers set-up doesn't help. It feels like a bridging point between films rather than a complete film in its own right. My least favourite is still The Incredible Hulk though. It's just so incredibly bland and forgettable. I don't like when Hulk is played too straight and prefer him as a supporting character rather than as a lead. Edward Norton was the wrong choice for the role as well. So glad the character was re-cast for The Avengers. I too feel like they needed to flesh out more of the storylines and they needed to tone down on the setup for the Avengers. It also has some pretty cringe humour. I think The Incredible Hulk is actually not that bad. I wouldn’t even say it cracks the bottom 3 for me. As a film, it felt more focused than IM2 and I think Hulk has the potential to be a lead in his own film if we ever do get that off the ground. He has an interesting character arc. I guess I have a bit of bias for liking it over the Ang Lee movie (though I have grown to like that film overtime). I definitely prefer Ruffalo over Norton though.

Are you saying that Iron Man 2 has cringe humour? Also the only thing wrong with Iron Man 2 was the mandarin twist.

Okay that was Iron Man 3. Then that doesn't help you because Mickey Rourke being the villain really helped Iron Man 2.

He felt underutilized, much like plenty of other things in the film. Mickey Rourke did an okay job but didn't have much to work with. If anything Sam Rockwell helped Iron Man 2.

I think the closest we've ever gotten to a genuinely outstanding Hulk movie was actually Thor: Ragnarok. He works well as part of an ensemble cast.

A lot of MCU films are mediocre as fuck yet critics and fans give them a pass. It’s kind of baffling

The tv series showed the Hulk could have its own focus or at least a really good Banner could-- Bill Bixby was more watchable than Ruffalo. Norton is watchable but he was miscast. He's not wimpy enough to be Banner. He didnt seem to have any burden from it. A Tom Hanks type is more Banner than Norton. He played a skinhead after all.
The Hulk doesn't need the MCU. The Ang Lee movie fucked it up although Dennis Muren said that CGI had some limitations-and one of them was doing a giant green man. I think maybe using a man in a costume and digitally inserting him into a movie would be more effective. That was used in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and was more dramatically involving. The CGI Hulks never look that good.
