UEFA are to decide Monday or Tuesday whether the venue can be moved from Istanbul to England. Due to it being two English sides in the final, and covid travel restrictions.
If it is moved, the FA are considering Wembley as the venue 🤨
This would bugger up the EFL play offs weekend at Wembley.
If it comes to England, hold it somewhere else... Why should EFL fans have their big weekend messed up for the Champions League?

Just in... UEFA will move it to England, but only if it is held at Wembley.
That's fine Man City and Chelsea... You just get your money bags out, get your elbows in there, and push the lower league teams aside on their biggest weekend of the season.
The EFL play off finals can be played in a fecking car park.
Greedy self important bastards.
I'm sure all the Chelsea and Man City fans protesting about the ESL will be boycotting the Champions League final in solidarity with money not pushing aside the EFL finals 🧐
No? I didn't think so.

I thought they decided last Friday that it wouldn't be moved?

I thought they decided last Friday that it wouldn't be moved? I think Johnson offered UEFA something under the table.

A spokesperson for the Chelsea Supporters Trust says...
"It's the right decision. We feel bad about muscling out the smaller clubs from Wembley, but hope that EFL fans see the bigger picture"
Well, no, I don't see the bigger picture. What is it?

Will it be open to the public? If so, doesn't playing it at Wembley give an advantage to Chelsea over Manchester City? And if it won't be open to the public, why does it have to be at Wembley?

That works for me. Doesn't intrude on the EFL play off finals Wembley weekend (which fingers crossed we will be part of 😬). But common sense would still be to hold it midway between London and Manchester. Villa Park, St Andrews, The Hawthorns, etc. as a one off covid compromise to minimise travelling.

What is this "common sense" thing you speak of?

Portugal confirmed for Champions League final by UEFA.
Estádio do Dragão (FC Porto).
6,000 fans of each team will be allowed to attend.

I'm guessing that Portugal might not want those 12,000 fans from England going there after all... What with the Indian covid variant today being confirmed to be in community transition in the UK 🤷♀️

Why did they move it from Istanbul not Constantinople?

Portugal now not so keen on letting British fans in... No decision has yet been taken by the Portugese authorities
